School Daze & Sports Plays

Hi and welcome to the School Daze & Sports Plays Release at Taylored Expressions. As we get ready to send our children back to school and begin all the fall sports this release is perfect for teachers, athletes, and coaches. 

My first project works for a soccer player or soccer coach. I used a number of new products to create my card including the Nothing but Net Background Stamp, the Little Bits - Soccer Die, and Perfect Pennant Clear Stamp Set - Team Spirit. 

I cut a piece os Sugar Cube Cardstock for the card front. I lightly stenciled clouds with the Set the Scene - Cloud Stencil Strips and Gumball Ink. Then I stamped the  Nothing but Net Background Stamp in Oreo Ink. I added grass at the bottom of the net with the Build a Scene - Grassy Hills Dies and Dill Pickle Cardstock. 

Next I foiled the pennants with Blueberry Foil and die cut with the previously released Perfect Pennant Die Set. I blended ink on the top and bottom pennant and then added the sentiments with the Perfect Pennant Clear Stamp Set - Team Spirit and die cut with the coordinating Pennant Clear Stamp Set - Team Spirit Dies. I used the new Little Bits - Soccer Dies to add the three soccer balls. 

My next card features the Little Bits - Bowling Dies and the previously released Sporty Gnomes Die Set. I created the two gnomes with the Sporty Gnomes Dies Set and the Gnome Alone Die Set for the body of the gnomes. 

To create the card front I cut a piece of Sugar Cube Cardstock and then embossed with the Swiss Dots Embossing folder. To create the bowling alley I used the Rainbow Bright 2 Die, using Licorice Cardstock for the edges and Toffee Cardstock stamped with the Wood Plank Background Stamps with Toffee Ink for the center lane.

I added the bowling ball and bowling pins I created with the Little Bits - Bowling Dies and a few red glittered hearts with the Little Bits - Hearts Dies. The sentiment is from the Duck Duck Goose Stamp and Die Set.

Papertrey Ink March Release Countdown Day 3

Hi and welcome to Day 3 day of the Papertrey Ink March Release Countdown. I have two more projects to share with you today. All the new products will be available on March 26th at 10 PM ET. 

My first few projects feature the new Bookmarked Stamp Set and coordinating Dies. On my first project I incorporated the bookmark on to the front of my card. The other elements are from the new Just Notes Stamp Set and Dies and the Love to Layer: Notebook Dies. 

I added the notebook paper to the card front and then stamped the strip of tape in Versamark and embossed with white embossing powder. Rather than glue the strip down I wrapped the corners around the card and glued them down. I hung the bookmark on the tape but it can easily be removed and used as a bookmark. 

I used the Border Bling: Frayed Edges Dies to add the frayed edges to the card front. 

There are a number of different options in the Bookmarked Stamp Set and coordinating Dies to create bookmarks. Here is a look at the the three animal options. 

There is also three flower options along with the pencil and the ruler.

Next is a look at the Always In Bloom Stamp Set and Dies. This a beautiful set full of pretty flowers and beautiful greenery. I have listed the inks I used below. 

After I had stamped and die cut the flowers and greenery I arranged them on a panel die cut with the Love to Layer: Deckled Dies and stenciled with the  Watercolor Wonderful Stencil. The sentiment is from the new Mother's Day Sentiments stamp set. 

The background is created with the Cover Plate: Exquisite and True Black Cardstock. I added a strip of Sweet Blush Cardstock in the the center of the card and finished off with a few Moonshine Sequins: Fresh Snow.

Papertrey Ink March Release Countdown Day 3

Papertrey Ink March Release Countdown Day 1

Hi and welcome to the first day of the Papertrey Ink March Release Countdown. I have two project to share with you today. All the new products will be available on March 26th at 10 PM ET. 

First up is a look at the Pro Stampers Box: March 24. The box includes stamps, dies, and stencils. I starting by stamping and die cutting the flowers. I have listed the inks I used below. Next I die cut the frame from Classic Kraft Cardstock three times and glued the layer together. I added vellum behind the frame that I had stamped with one of the sentiments in the box. 

At the bottom of the frame I added the word wish with one the word dies in the box. I die cut the word from Lilac Grace Cardstock and then blended Plum Pudding Ink to the bottom edges. I used one one of stencils in the box to add the pattern behind the frame. 

I attached the flowers to the side of the frame. The card front is die cut with the previously released Border Bling: Tin Stitch Die from Stamper's Select White Cardstock and then blended with Lemon Tart Ink.

Next up is a card I created with the Just Notes Stamps, Stencils, and Dies along with the Love to Layer: Notebook Dies. I die cut the notebook paper with the Love to Layer: Notebook Die and added the lines with the Notebook Stencils. Then I added the sentiments to the notebook paper with stamps in the Just Notes Stamp Set. 

Next I stamped and die cut the the pen, hearts, paperclip, clip, and tape and arranged the die cuts around the notebook paper. I created the pattern on the True Black cardstock with the Just Notes Stencil and a white gel pen. 

The card is framed with the Border Bling: Skinny Stitched Frame Die.

Papertrey Ink March Release Countdown Day 1

Papertrey Ink March Sneak Peeks Day 2! Treasured Teachers

Hi and welcome to Day 2 of the Papertrey Ink March Release Sneak Peeks. I have two cards to share with you today that are for the special teachers in your life. Everything will be available for purchase beginning at 10 PM ET, Friday the 25th!

My first card features the new Treasured Teacher Apple Prints Stamp Set and the Treasured Teachers Dies. How cute are these printed apples! I stamped each apple on a different color of cardstock with a different pattern. I stamped the stems on Classic Kraft and Spring Moss with the coordinating ink color. 

The background pattern is die cut from Stamper's Select White Cardstock with the new Cover Plate Decorative Circles. I added patterned paper from the Bitty Big: Pure Poppy Color Collection behind the die cuts. The sentiment is from the new Treasured Teachers Stamp Set.

Here is my second card to celebrate teachers. For this card I used the new Treasured Teachers Stamp Set and Treasured Teachers Dies. I die cut the mug with the previously released The Mug Die from the Bitty Big: Aqua Mist Collection. Then I filled the mug with stamped images and a sentiment from the Treasured Teachers Stamp Set. 

The front panel is die cut with the Cover Plate: Apples Die. I die cut from Stamper's Select White Cardstock and added Pure Poppy cardstock behind the apples. I also added a circle of vellum.

It has been quite a year and I know we want to honor our teachers and grads!!! First I have two card I created with the new Full Circle - School Stamp Set and the Grad Cap Layering Stencil. The Full Circle - School can be used for either teachers or graduates. 

On my first card I stamped in Versamark Ink and embossed with TE Gold Embossing Powder. I cut a piece of Sugar Cube Cardstock to fit the card front and cut a circle directly into the card front with the Stitched Circle Stacklets. Then I added the stamp image behind the circle. 

On this card I used just one of the stencils in the new Grad Cap Layering Stencil.  I stenciled the stars with Versamark Ink and the embossed with TE Gold Embossing Powder. The sentiments are from the the new Mini Strips - Grad. 

The graduation hat is created with the previously released The Tassel and the Tassel Die. 

I created the second card in basically the manner, except here I die the the Full Circle-School Stamp with the Stitched Circle Stacklets and matted with the Petite Scallop Circle Stacklets. 

I also used all three layers of the stencil on this card. 

Next up is a look at the new Fill in the Blank - Teacher and the I Pick You Cling and Clear Combo. I die cut a piece of Salt Water Taffy Cardstock with the Stitched Mini Slim Stacklets and matted with Sugar Cube Cardstock die cut with the Petite Scallop Mini Slim Stacklets. In the background I stamped the I Pick You Cling Stamp. 

I stamped two of the sentiments from the Fill in the Blank - Teacher Cling and Clear Combo in Cherry Pop Ink and added the two apples with the I Pick You Cling and Clear Combo and the I Pick You Die. The bottom sentiment is included in the  Fill in the Blank - Teacher Cling and Clear Combo. 

On the inside I stamped a sentiment from the new Inside Scoop - Teacher Stamp Set.

New Teacher and Graduation Release from Taylored Expressions

You're A+ In My Book

Happy Monday! I hope you had a nice weekend. Mine included a little creative time and I created a card with the School Friends Stamp Set from Pretty Pink Posh.

To cut the window in the card I used the Window Frames Dies. This is one of my favorite die sets to used when I want to build a scene. The stamped images are colored with Copic Markers and die cut with the School Friends Coordinating Dies. How cute are those glasses! 

I die cut the hill of grass with Scallop Borders 2 Dies and the clouds with the cloud dies in the Rainy Days Coordinating Dies. I finished off the scene with a few Sparkling Clear Jewels. The sentiment is included in the School Friends Stamp Set. I cut a banner to run the length of the card front and used the Window Frames Dies to match the curve at the top of the window.

Hey There Smarty Pants

Hi Everyone and thanks for stopping by today. I have a card to share using the new School Friends Stamp Set from Pretty Pink Posh. This stamp set if full of sweet school themed stamps, perfect for cards, tags, bookmarks, and teacher gifts.

My stamped images are colored with Copic Markers and die cut with the School Friends Coordinating Dies. The sentiment is also from the stamp set. I stamped the sentiment in Versamark Ink and embossed with white embossing powder to look like a chalkboard. 

I scored a piece of Kraft card stock to create a table to set the books on and the framed the scene with the smaller die in the Scallop Frames Dies. I added a Red Heart Confetti Sequin to the center of the lunch pail.
