Autumn Splendor

Today I am sharing projects I created with the new Autumn Splendor Release from Taylored Expressions. It is the time of year I pull out the warm colors of fall, create pumpkins, leaves, and pretty florals, and celebrate gratitude. 

My first card features the Petal Pusher 2 Die. First I die cut from Sugar Cube Cardstock and used the inks I have listed below to add the warm colors to the leave and flower.  Next I stenciled a piece of Toffee Cardstock with the new Lots of Leaves Stencil with Toffee Ink. Then I die cut the Petal Pusher 2 Die in the center of the stencil cardstock. 

Next I lightly splattered gold watercolor paint on the inked pieces and inlaid the pieces back into the card front. 

The sentiment is from the new CozyVibes Stamp Set and die cut with the coordinating Cozy Vibes Dies. 

Next up is a look at the Harvest Hello Stamp Set and coordinating Dies. The Harvest Hello Stamp Set creates five different sized pumpkins, stems, leaves, and includes six sentiment stamps. 

To create the patterned background I used the new Branching Out Stamp & Stencil Combo. I stamped in Versamark Ink and embossed with gold embossing powder and then stenciled the leaves. I added the arch in the center of the card with the Arch Nouveau Dies and Additional Arch Nouveau Dies. 

I layered the pumpkins inside the arch. The acorns I die cut with the previously released Garden Variety - Fall Die Set and the flowers are die cut with dies in the Garden Variety 2 Die Set. All the sentiments I used are included tine the Harvest Hello Stamp Set. 

I also created two tags with the new products. The tags I die cut with the Tag Stacklets 5 Die Set and used the Arch Nouveau Dies and Additional Arch Nouveau Dies to die cut the arches on the tags too.

My card showcases the new Simple Weave Cutting Plate. This is such a great die to add texture and interest to the background of your card. First I used the largest die A2 Large Scallop Stacklets Die Set to die cut the scallop card front from Toffee cardstock and then I die cut again with the Simple Weave Cutting Plate. 

The flowers are die cut with the Simple Stems Die Set. I will list the ink and cardstock colors I used below. You can see how I layered the ink blended cardstock back into the flowers and leaves. 

The sentiment is from the Cheers to Many More Years Stamp Set. I finished off the card with a few White Foil Drops.

Happy 18th Birthday to Taylored Expressions!!!

My birthday card is created with the Birthday Bonfire Layering Stencil, the Birthday Bonfire Cake Toppers Layering Stencil, the Cheers to Many More Stamp Set and Dies, and the Letter by Letter Clear Stamp Set. I wanted to show you how you can personalize your card. 

First I stenciled by cake using Rose Water, Guava, Mint Julep, Banana Cream, Pineapple, Latte and Cinnamon Inks. Then I stenciled the topper and used the Letter by Letter Stamp Set to add the personalization. 

I used TE Happy Medium - Iridescent Glitter with the stencil to add the sparkle to the frosting and Glossy Accents to added sparkle to the chocolate layers of the cake. The sentiment is from the new Cheers to Many More Years Stamp Set. 

I used the Rose Water Cardstock for the card front and embossed with the Mini Meadow Embossing Folder.

Welcome to Day 4 of the Papertrey Ink August Release Countdown!I have two project to share with you today. All the new products available tomorrow, August 25th at 12 PM EDT.

Who doesn't love a cute, little ghost! There are numerous ways to dress up your ghost with the new Build-A-Ghost Die Set. I added the witch's hat, broom, candy corn, and the Pumpkin Trick or Treat Basket. 

To create the die cut behind the ghost I die cut the largest die in the Love to Layer: Little Loopy Die Set from True Black cardstock. Next I added clouds with white pigment ink and then foiled using gold foil with the Stargazing Hot Foil Plate. 

The sentiments are from the new This is Big Sentiments: Halloween.

Next I created a set of tags using the new Halloween Silhouettes Stamp Set and Dies. The pumpkins are stamped with Candy Corn Ink and the other three images are stamped on True Black Cardstock with Versamark Ink and embossed with gold embossing powder. 

The sentiments are all included in the Halloween Silhouettes Stamp Set and have coordinating dies. 

The Halloween Silhouettes Dies cut all the spooky images and the card they are centered on. I added the loopy edges with the medium sized die in the Love to Layer: Little Loopy. 

I punched a hole at the top of each tag, strung twine and added the button.

Welcome to Day 3 of the Papertrey Ink August Release Countdown!I have two project to share with you today. All the new products available on August 25th at 12 PM EDT. 

My fall themed card features the new Fall Cloche Stamp Set and Dies. I think this is a die you could use throughout the year, filling the Cloche with different theme items. I stamped the frame of the Cloche with Coastal Blue Ink and die cut vellum to go behind the cut out. 

I stamped and die cut the fall theme items and lightly splattered gold watercolor to add extra interest and texture. The sentiment is included in the Fall Cloche Stamp Set. 

I used pattern paper for the background.

Next is a look at the Reflections: John 14 Stamp Set and Dies and the pretty Harvest Medley Stencil Collection. I am loving this new stencil! I have listed the colors of ink I used below. 

I stamped the verse on Dark Indigo Cardstock with Versamark Ink and embossed with gold embossing powder. I added the flowers and greenery with the new Into the Blooms: Apple Dies Die, with the exception of the berries that were die cut with the Into the Blooms: Freshly Picked Die. 

I used the Reflections: John 14 Dies to mat the sentiment and die cut the larger piece of vellum.

Welcome to Day 2 of the Papertrey Ink August Release Countdown!I have two project to share with you today that celebrate Fall and give thanks.  All the new products available on August 25th at 12 PM EDT. 

The new Build-A-Scarecrow Die Set is one of my favorites of the new release. I started by picking a plaid patterned paper for the shirt and built my color scheme around those colors. I die cut colored cardstock for each piece and the added detail with the ink blending. 

I used Copic Marker to color the face, a black gel pen to accent the mouth, and added small black rhinestones for the eyes. Sunflowers, pumpkins, and a black crow finish off the scene. 

To create the background I die cut the largest die in the new Love to Layer: A Little Loopy from Stamper's Select White Cardstock and then inked blended the background. The sentiment is from the Fall Cloche Stamp Set that I will be sharing tomorrow.

My next Fall themed card is created with the new Cup of Blessings Stamp Set and Dies. I love the idea of the tea cup. I stamped the tea cup in Blueberry Sky Ink and then added the gold details by stamping with Versamark Ink and embossing with gold embossing powder. 

Here is a closer look at the details. I used the Weathered Wood Background to created the look of a table and patterned paper from the Bitty Big Collection: Blueberry Sky for the table linen. 

I used the Love to Layer: A Little Loopy again behind the tea cup. The sentiment is included in the Cup of Blessings Stamp Set.

Welcome Fall

Welcome to Day 1 of the Papertrey Ink August Release Countdown! This release signals the change in season and celebrates Fall and holidays ahead. All the new products available on August 25th at 12 PM EDT. 

Let's start with a look at Halloween! My first card features the new Bewitching Bookcase Stamp Set and Dies. I love the details on the bookcase. I stamped in Versamark Ink on Classic Kraft Cardstock and embossed with white embossing powder. Then I stamped and die cut a variety of items to fill the bookcase. 

The Happy Halloween banner is included in the Bewitching Bookcase Stamp Set. I stamped in Versamark Ink on True Black Cardstock and embossed with gold embossing powder. The large Boo sentiment is from the new This is Big Sentiments: Halloween. 

I added the spider webs with the previously released Spooky Halloween.

Next a look at Into the Blooms: Apples Dies. This is a beautiful die set that creates detailed apples, apple blossoms, an apple branch, and leaves. I listed the inks I used below for the ink blending. 

To create the background I used the Brushstrokes Stencil Collection with Lemon Tart, Summer Sunrise, Rose Water, and Pure Poppy Ink. And then I lightly splattered with a bronze watercolor paint. 

The sentiments are from the previously released This is Big Sentiments: Fall Harvest Stamp Set. I used the  Love to Layer: Torn Edges Dies to die cut the card front.

Welcome Fall

Twice a year Taylored Expressions asks our customers which products you’d like to see expanded. Maybe there’s a stamp set that would be even more versatile with coordinating dies. Perhaps a favorite floral design is waiting for a coloring stencil. The Pick Your Pairing Release is filled with new products designed to coordinate with TE favorites you may already own!

On my first card I used three of the new products. The Just Because Coloring Stencil coordinates with the previously released Just Because Stamp Set and Dies. I am excited about the Mini Slim Arched Stacklets. I love the arch shape and am happy to have it for Mini Slim Cards. TE has also added butterflies to the Little Bit Collection. 

I used Macaron, Dried Fig, and Concord Grape Inks for the flowers and Pear and Sweet Basil for the leaves with the new Just Because Blooms Coloring Stencil. Then I die cut the image and added it the center of the arch with foam tape. 

I added clouds to the center of the arch with the Set the Scene - Cloud Strip Stencil. I added the butterflies with the new Little Bits - Butterfly. The sentiment is included in the Just Because Stamp Set. 

My next card features the new Spooky Scribbles 6x6 Background Stamp. I stamped in VersaFine Clair - Nocturne Ink and then embossed with TE Clear Embossing Powder. The embossing helps keep my background pattern bold when I do the ink blending. I blended Potato Chip, Pineapple, Candy Corn, Guava, and Rose Water Inks. 

I added the ghosts with the Haunted Boo-levard Dies and added Bits & Pieces - Black Rhinestones to the eyes. 

The large sentiment is die cut with the new C'mon It's Halloween Die Set for TE Black Glitter Cardstock. 

I love the Triple Slim Layering Stencil - Holly Holiday that was previously released. Now we have the Triple Slim - Holly Holiday Coordinating Dies. This set is perfect for mass producing Christmas cards! 

I used a color palette of Salt Water Taffy, Sour Gummy, Watermelon, Cherry Pop, and Sweet Basil Inks. 

I used the new Mini Slim - Arched Stacklets again to cut the arch shape the for the center of the card. 

I used the Little Bits - Star Dies to add the star to the top of the tree. 

After I stenciled I lightly splattered the background with gold paint from the TE Watercolor Set - Metallic.

I used different colors of cardstock for the inside of the arch and embossed with the Embossing Folder - Tiny Twinkles. 

The sentiments are from the Mini to Mighty Stamp Set - Christmas and die cut with the coordinating dies. I stamped in Versamark Ink on Cherry Pop Cardstock and embossed with TE Embossing Powder in Gold Sparkle.
