Cards of Comfort

We all experience loss, and in those moments, finding the right words can feel impossible. I appreciate having products to make these card easier. The Cards of Comfort Release was created with these kinds of cards in mind. All the new products are available now in the Taylored Expressions Store. 

My first project is created with the Woodland Blooms Stamp & Stencil Combo, the Foil It - Woodland Blooms, and the Woodland Blooms Dies. There are a few different options in the Foil It - Woodland Blooms. I chose to work with the one that creates the flowers for two of the corners of the card. 

I used a combination of Royal Icing, Tiki Mule, Sour Gummy, Honeydew Melon, and Brussels Sprout Inks. The card front is embossed with the new Garden Trellis Embossing Folder using Royal Icing Cardstock. 

The sentiment is from the new In Loving Memory Stamp Set and die cut with the coordinating dies. I finished off the card with a scattering of Oreo Enamel Dots. 

My next card is perfect for the loss of a pet. I don't have anything like this in my stash! I created the card with the new Faithful Friend Stamp Set and coordinating dies and the Paw Prints on Your Heart Die Set. I started by using the largest die in the Stitched A2 Layer Stacklets Die Set to die cut the card front from Honeydew Melon. Next I used the paw print stamp in the Faithful Friend Stamp Set to stamp the paw prints around the card front using Honeydew Melon Ink. 

I stamped the paw prints from the Faithful Friend Stamp Set with VersaFine Clair - Nocturne Ink on Toffee Cardstock and die cut with the coordinating dies. I added Oreo Enamel Dots to the paw prints. The hearts are die cut with the Pawprints on Your Heart Dies. 

The sentiment is included in the Faithful Friend Stamp Set.

Cards of Comfort

It's Raining Cats and Dogs!

It is the last Tuesday of the month and time for a new cardmaking kit from Taylored Expression. There are two pet themed kits to choose from this month, one all about dogs, and one all about cats. I have a project with each kit to share with you.

My first card is created with the Meow & Furever Kit.

I stamped the cats with the Meow & Furever Stamp and then stenciled the cats and used the Meow & Furever Cutting Plate Die to die cut all the cats at once. I stamped the Meow & Furever Stamp again on Blue Raspberry Cardstock with Oreo Ink and then added the cats back into the card front. 

The sentiment is from the Purr-fect Friend Stamp and die cut with Purr-fect Friend Coordinating Dies. These products are available for purchase separately. There is a bundle available.

Here is the card I made with the Dog-Gone Cute Kit. I stamped, stenciled, and die cut the dogs to create this birthday scene.

I used the Here Comes the Sun Stencil to created the card front and then added the grass with Build A Scene - Grassy Hills Dies, and the clouds with the Rainbow Clouds Duo Dies. 

I used the Paw-sitiely Fabulous Stamp Set and Dies to add the sentiment, which is available for purchase. Notice the cut accessories I added like the dog bone and birthday hats. I used the Little Bits Die Set - Pet Accessories. There are dies in set that are perfect for both cats and dogs.

Waffle Flower February Sneak Peek Club

Today I am excited to share information and projects I created with the new Sneak Peek Club from Waffle Flower. I started by creating the background with the Paws Print Stencil Duo. I used a medium grey and black ink. This makes a fun background for all your pet loving family and friends. 

Using the Oversized Friend Print Die, I die cut the word friend three times from red cardstock and layered the die cuts one on top of the other and then added the black matting. Next I added the dogs with the Best Friend Dies. There are many dog silhouettes in the die set. 

The sentiments are included in the kit as Bonus Sentiments. I added a red matting to help the sentiments stand out from the background. I finished off the card with a few black drip dots.

Waffle Flower February Sneak Peek Club

New Cat Lover's Release from Taylored Expressions

Hi All! We have a new release available tomorrow from Taylored Expression, the Cat Lover's Release! The release has 6 new products including stamp sets, dies, and an addition to the popular Simple Strips collection. Everything is available at the TE webstore NOW! 

Today my card features the new Loyal Friend Stamp Set. The loss of pet is always hard and this stamp set helps you find the right words. 

First I cut a a panel of Sugar Cube Cardstock with the largest die in the Petite Scallop Rectangle Stacklets. Next I used the paw print stencil in the Puppy Love Layered Stencil with Sea Salt Ink and my TE Blender Brushes. Then I stamped  the feather and paw prints with the stamp in the Loyal Friend Stamp Set. I used my Misti and stamped the image in Poppy Seed Ink, then again in Versamark Ink, and then embossed with TE Clear Embossing Powder. 

I used one of the rectangles in the Stitched Rectangle Stacklets to cut directly into the card front.  I brushed on Salt Water Taffy Ink and then stamped the sentiment in Poppy Seed Ink and inlayed the rectangle back in the card front. The cat is die cut with the new Silhouettes- Cats Die.

New Cat Lover's Release from Taylored Expressions

New Father's Day and Dog Lovers Release at Taylored Expressions

Today Taylored Expressions is releasing their new Father's Day and Dog Lovers Products!. All the products are available now in the TE Store.

Today my card features the new Paw Prints and Gus & Gertie Stamps Sets! I just fell in love with these sweet dog and bird images when I saw them for the first time! First I stamped the heart from the Paw Prints Stamp Set in Versamark Ink on Sugar Cube Cardstock and embossed with TE Black Embossing Powder. I die cut the heart with the Stitched Heart Stacklets and added the red heart with the Heart Stacklets. 

Next I stamped one of the images from the Gus & Gertie Stamp Set in Oreo Ink, colored with Copic Markers, and die cut with the coordinating Gus & Gertie Dies. The sentiments are from the new Simple Strips - Woof Stamp Set and die cut with the new Simple Strips - Well Rounded Dies. I stamped with Versamark Ink and embossed with TE White Embossing Powder. 

I used the paw print stencil from the new Puppy Lover Layered Stencil Set to add the pattern to the background. I used Sea Salt Ink and my TE Blender Brushes. My final touch is a red heart from the Bits and Pieces - Have a Heart.

New Father's Day and Dog Lovers Release at Taylored Expressions

New Father's Day and Pet Themed Products Releasing from Taylored Expressions

Hi All! I will be popping in over the next few days to share new release products from Taylored Expressions. We have new products for you favorite pet lovers and all the men in your life! All the new products will be available tomorrow, May 19th at 9 AM CST in the TE Store.

Today I am showcasing the new Treetops Background Stamps, In the Treetops Edger and Swing Dies, the new Swinging By Stamp Set and coordinating Swinging By Dies. 

I started by stamping the Treetops Background Stamp in Oreo Ink and colored with Copic Markers. To add the texture to the tree I added a little Copic Blending Fluid to a piece of Terry cloth and dabbed the terry cloth over the Copics. I love the effect, just start out lightly so you don't remove too much of the color. Then I die cut the tree and the swing with the Treetops Edger and Swing Dies. 

I stamped the colored the sweet owl from the Swinging By Stamp Set and die cut with Swinging By Dies.  I used a combination of foam, foam circles, and the On the Right Track Discs to allow the swing to move from right to left. You can watch a video on how the TE Foam Circles and On the Right Track Discs are used to create this interactive card HERE. 

I die cut the grass with the Build a Scene - Grassy Hills Die. In the center of the grass I stamped a sentiment from the new Swinging By Stamp Set in Versamark Ink and embossed with TE White Embossing Powder. The butterflies are die cut with the Little Bits - Butterflies.
