It's Raining Cats and Dogs!

It is the last Tuesday of the month and time for a new cardmaking kit from Taylored Expression. There are two pet themed kits to choose from this month, one all about dogs, and one all about cats. I have a project with each kit to share with you.

Both cardmaking kits are available now in the TE Store.

My first card is created with the Meow & Furever Kit.

The Meow & Furever Kit includes:
  • Meow & Furever Stamp & Stencil Combo
  • Meow & Furever Cutting Plate Die
  • The Insiders - Meow & Furever
  • Taylored Tutorial

I stamped the cats with the Meow & Furever Stamp and then stenciled the cats and used the Meow & Furever Cutting Plate Die to die cut all the cats at once. I stamped the Meow & Furever Stamp again on Blue Raspberry Cardstock with Oreo Ink and then added the cats back into the card front.

The sentiment is from the Purr-fect Friend Stamp and die cut with Purr-fect Friend Coordinating Dies. These products are available for purchase separately. There is a bundle available.

Here is the card I made with the Dog-Gone Cute Kit. I stamped, stenciled, and die cut the dogs to create this birthday scene.

The Dog-Gone Cute Kit includes:
  • Dog-gone Cute Stamp & Stencil Combo
  • Dog-gone Cute Cutting Plate Die
  • The Insiders - Dog-gone Cute
  • Taylored Tutorial

I used the Here Comes the Sun Stencil to created the card front and then added the grass with Build A Scene - Grassy Hills Dies, and the clouds with the Rainbow Clouds Duo Dies.

I used the Paw-sitiely Fabulous Stamp Set and Dies to add the sentiment, which is available for purchase. Notice the cut accessories I added like the dog bone and birthday hats. I used the Little Bits Die Set - Pet Accessories. There are dies in set that are perfect for both cats and dogs.

There is also a bundle to purchase both the kits if you can decide!

We’ve got not one but TWO cardmaking kits for you to choose from! Are you Team Dog or Team Cat? Pick your favorite (or scoop up both if you just can’t decide!)

Plus, don’t miss the Little Bits Die Set - Pet Accessories! It’s the perfect add-on for both kits and is sold separately.

On my next card I used a combination of the new products to create a wedding card. I started by using the Rustic Woodgrain Hot Foil Plate with Rustic Cream Cardstock and gold foil. I added Antique Linen Distress Ink around the edges.

Next I die cut the bottom edge of the card front with the Elegant Edges: In Full Bloom Dies. I attached the panel to a piece of True Black Cardstock. Then I used the Elegant Edges: In Full Bloom Dies again to die cut the pieces that are inlaid back in the die cuts.

The sentiments are from the This is Big Sentiments: Wishes Stamp Set and die cut with the coordinating dies. There are numerous choices for the smaller sentiments, making it perfect for so many occasions.

I stamped and die cut a variety of the images in the set including the cute string of lights. I die cut an oval with the largest die in the Love to Layer: Playful Scallops from Stamper's Select White Cardstock, blended the cardstock with Sweet Blush Ink, added the ladder and attached the other images and stamped the sentiment.

La Dolce Vita Collection from Spellbinders

Hi Crafters! I have three projects to share with you today from the La Dolce Vita Collection from Spellbinders. This is a beautiful summer themed collection, perfect for all your summertime crafting.

I used the Beyond the Door Etched Dies, Citrus Spritz Etched Dies, Lemon Fresco 3D Embossing Folder, and the La Dolce Vita Sentiments BetterPress Plate & Die Set from the La Dolce Vita Collection to create my three projects. I have linked the products below.

Let's start with a look at the  Beyond the Door Etched Dies. I love the pretty and peaceful scene these dies create. I die cut all the pieces from colored cardstock and then added some ink blending to highlight the etched dies.

I used the Lemon Fresco 3D Embossing Folder for the background of the card. I used white cardstock blended with a pale green ink. Then I started gluing the die cut pieces in place.

The sentiments are from the La Dolce Vita Sentiments BetterPress Plate & Die Set. The BetterPress plates can be used with the Betterpress System or the Glimmer Hot Foil System. Here a used the Glimmer Hot Foil System and Cobalt Blue Foil.

Here is another example using lemons around the door rather than the flowers and a different flower pot option.

Here is a closer look at all the texture and detail.

Here I used the BetterPress System with black ink for the sentiment.

My final card features the Citrus Spritz Etched Dies. I love the mix of the lemons with the greenery and flowers. Feels like summer!

I used the Citrus Spritz Etched Dies again for the background but this time I inked the embossing folder with a pale yellow ink, added the paper, and ran the embossing folder through the diecutting machine. I love the effect and the embossing folder can just be rinsed with water.

Here are two more sentiments from the La Dolce Vita Sentiments BetterPress Plate & Die Set.

Thanks for stopping by! Here's to a great summer!
