Papertrey Ink January Release Countdown Begins!

Welcome to Day 1 of the Papertrey Ink January Release Countdown. The January Release if full of new Birthday related products and if you are like me you can never have enough birthday cards! All the new products will be available at 12 PM EST on Tuesday, January 28th!

Let's start with a look at the Blooming Beauties Stamp Set and Dies, the Love to Layer: Scalloped Ovals, and the This is Big Sentiments: Birthday

I love the pretty, delicate flowers I created with the Blooming Beauties Stamp Set and Dies. Once I stamped and  die cut the flowers I arranged them into a bouquet and tied the stems together with twine. I added Diamond Stickles to the center of the flowers.

The pretty scalloped Ovals are die cut with the new Love to Layer: Scalloped Ovals Dies. There are three different sizes of ovals in the set. On the smaller oval I blended Ripe Avocado and Spring Rain Inks.

I used the previously release Cover Plate: Exquisite Die to created the background of the card. I added Blueberry Sky cardstock behind the die cuts.

I finished off the card with a sentiment from the stamp set and a few PTI Clear Gems.

Supplies:

Stamps: Blooming Beauties
Dies: Blooming Beauties, Love to Layer: Scalloped Ovals, Cover Plate: Exquisite Die
Inks: Pale Peony, Scarlet Jewel, Spring Rain, Blueberry Sky, Lemon Tart, Summer Sunrise, Plum Pudding, Winter Wisteria, Simply Chartreuse, Ripe Avocado, Olive Twist, True Black
Paper: Stamper's Select White, Blueberry Sky
Other: Twine, PTI Clear Gems, Stickles in Diamond

Next up is a look at the This is Big Sentiments: Birthday Stamp Set and Dies. I love the Big Sentiments line of stamps. There are so many sentiments in the set that coordinate the larger birthday sentiment.

I used the Occasional Cupcakes Stamp Set and Dies to created the cupcake. I centered the cupcake on the middle sized oval in the Love to Layer: Scalloped Ovals Dies.

I used the Cover Plate: Decorative Circles to created the background, adding Green Parakeet Cardstock in the background.

I added two of the smaller sentiments from the This is Big Sentiments: Birthday Stamp Set.

My first project to share with you is created with the new Peonies Stamp Set and Peonies Coordinating Dies. I love these flowers! They are so pretty and so fun to color. Here I colored with Copic Markers but I am will be trying watercolors next. I arranged the flowers on a card front that was die cut with the new Lattice Background Die. This is a great, classic background die that I know I will use over and over.

Behind the Lattice Background Die I added a sheet of vellum and then a sheet of yellow cardstock for a soft look. The sentiment is from the new Animal Signs Stamp Set. I stamped the sentiment on black cardstock in Versamark Ink and embossed with white embossing powder. I added a few Sparkling Clear Jewels. I love the way the jewels look like dew drops on the flowers.

Hi Everyone! I am popping in today with a card I created with some new products from Pretty Pink Posh. I am loving the new Geraniums Stamp Set. The flowers are so pretty and love the great details on the leaves.

The geraniums and leaves are watercolored. I stamped on watercolor paper and embossed with white embossing powder. After the flowers were dry I die cut with the Geraniums Coordinating Dies. The cute dragonfly is stamped with the Darling Dragonflies Stamp Set and die cut with the Darling Dragonflies Coordinating Dies. Before I put the card together I cut a piece of white cardstock for the card front. On the top half I brushed on a pale yellow ink and spattered black paint. Thinking of You Dear Friend

Hi Everyone! I am popping in today with a pretty watercolored card I created with the Big Blooms - Zinnia Stamp Set and the coordination Big Blooms Zinnia Dies from Taylored Expressions.

I love the Big Blooms series of stamps and dies. They make a simple, bold statement and there are so many ways to color these big, beautiful flowers. I watercolored the Zinnia for this card. I used watercolor paper and stamped in Versamark Ink and embossed with TE White Embossing Powder. Once my flower and leaves were dry I die cut with the Big Blooms Zinnia Dies

Since the flower makes such I statement I wanted to keep my background simple. I brushed Guava Ink on the bottom half and Potato Chip Ink on the top half with a Clarity Stencil Brush. I added a strip of Guava Cardstock across the middle of the card. The sentiment is from the Friendly Phrases Stamp Set and die cut with the Double Ended Flags Stacklets. I stamped the sentiment with Versamark Ink and embossed with TE Black Embossing Powder. The sequins are from the Snow Flurries Sequins.

Thanks for taking a look!

It's November Release Day at Taylored Expressions

Welcome! It's release day at Taylored Expressions! I hope you have enjoyed all the October Sneak Peeks and been inspired to start your holiday creating!  All the new October products are available at the TE web store NOW.

My first card features the new Inside Scallop Rectangle Stacklets, which coordinates with Stitched Rectangle Stacklets for creating frames.

To create the frame I layered the largest Inside Scallop Rectangle Stacklets inside the largest Stitched Rectangle Stacklets and ran the dies through my die cutting machine. I like to use Scotch Removable Tape to hold the dies in place.

Behind the frame I added a piece of watercolor paper, using Tumbled Glass Distress Ink and a blending tool to add the color. The hills of snow are die cut with the Build a Scene - Rolling Hills Dies.

Next I stamped the sleigh in the Sleigh Bouquet Stamp Set and die cut with the coordinating Sleigh Bouquet Dies. I colored the image with Copic Marker. The sentiment is included in the stamp set.

My next card features the Inside Scallop Circle Stacklets, which coordinates with Stitched Circle Stacklets for creating frames. I stamped a sentiment from the Noteworthy Stamp Set on vellum. The background is embossed with the Dotted Lattice Embossing Folder.

My flower is stamped with the Big Blooms - Cabbage Rose. Love! I colored with Copic makers and hand cut the flower and leaves. I added Nuvo Gold Crystal Drops to the center of the flower and finished off the card with a few gold sequins.
