The Patriotic Release!

America turns 250 just once and Taylored Expressions is joining in the celebration with new products to celebrate in a handmade way! Think fireworks lighting up the night sky, handwritten happy mail, neighborhood parades, and all the red, white, and blue memories that bring us together year after year! All the new products are available now in the TE Store. 

My first card features The Archive Collection - On the Road Wagon. This is a die set you can use throughout the year! I filled the wagon with red, white, and blue flowers using the previously release Garden Variety Die Set. To add to the patriotic feel I used gold foil to die cut the wagon handle and the center of the wheels. 

I used Blueberry Cardstock for the card front that I embossed with the new Stars and Stripes Embossing Folder. After I embossed the cardstock I lightly rubbed my Sugar Cube Ink Pad over the embossing. I framed the card with the largest die in the Frame in Frame Cutting Plate 3. 

I added the pennant with the sentiment with the Pennant Picks Die & Clear Stamp Combo. The bottom sentiment is from the new Star-Spangled Sentiments Stamps Set and die cut with the coordinating dies. 

I love the TE Postmarked Collection and Postmarked - Americana is the newest addition to product line. I used the Foil It - Postmarked Americana with Gold Shimmer Fun foil. Then I stenciled with the Postmarked - Americana Stencil. I used a combination of Cherry Pop, Blueberry, Watermelon, and Confetti Cake Inks. I also embossed the card front with the Postmarked - Americana Embossing Folder. 

I created the mailbox with the Happy Mail Die &  Clear Stamp Combo that was release last year. I stenciled a few extra images and die cut them with the Postmarked Cutting Plate which works with all the images in the Postmarked Collection. I used foam tape to add the envelopes and stamp falling out of the mailbox. 

This sentiment is also from the Star-Spangled Sentiments Stamp Set.

The Patriotic Release!

Colorfully Coordinated

It's the Colorfully Coordinated Release at Taylored Expressions today! If you love color and love to organize this release if for you! I know my cart is going to full! Keeping my supplies organized is a challenge for me. 

Let's start with a look at the new color of cardstock and ink being release today, Plum Tart. I paired Plum Tart with Berry Smoothie, Potato Chip, and Honeydew Melon and used Lemon Meringue and Brussels Sprouts to add shading. 

I decided on a 5 x 7 card with the beautiful Baroque Bouquet Stamp. I stamped in Oreo Ink and then used the Baroque Bouquet Stamp Stencil to add the color with Blender Brushes. I die cut with the coordinating Baroque Bouquet Die and then added embossing details with the Baroque Bouquet Stamp 3D Embossing Folder.  

Here is a closer look at the embossing detail. I love that TE has added 5 x 7 options to the TE product line.  I used the A7 Layer Stacklets Die Set and the A7 Large Scallop Stacklets Die Set for my card base. 

At the bottom I added a strip of Plum Tart Card embossed the Swiss Dots Embossing Folder. The sentiment is from the Signature Sentiments Clear Stamp Set and die cut with the coordinating dies. I finished off the card with a few Glitter Drops.

Colorfully Coordinated

La Dolce Vita Collection from Spellbinders

Hi Crafters! I have three projects to share with you today from the La Dolce Vita Collection from Spellbinders. This is a beautiful summer themed collection, perfect for all your summertime crafting. 

I used the Beyond the Door Etched Dies, Citrus Spritz Etched Dies, Lemon Fresco 3D Embossing Folder, and the La Dolce Vita Sentiments BetterPress Plate & Die Set from the La Dolce Vita Collection to create my three projects. I have linked the products below. 

Let's start with a look at the  Beyond the Door Etched Dies. I love the pretty and peaceful scene these dies create. I die cut all the pieces from colored cardstock and then added some ink blending to highlight the etched dies. 

I used the Lemon Fresco 3D Embossing Folder for the background of the card. I used white cardstock blended with a pale green ink. Then I started gluing the die cut pieces in place. 

The sentiments are from the La Dolce Vita Sentiments BetterPress Plate & Die Set. The BetterPress plates can be used with the Betterpress System or the Glimmer Hot Foil System. Here a used the Glimmer Hot Foil System and Cobalt Blue Foil. 

Here is another example using lemons around the door rather than the flowers and a different flower pot option. 

Here is a closer look at all the texture and detail. 

Here I used the BetterPress System with black ink for the sentiment. 

My final card features the Citrus Spritz Etched Dies. I love the mix of the lemons with the greenery and flowers. Feels like summer!

I used the Citrus Spritz Etched Dies again for the background but this time I inked the embossing folder with a pale yellow ink, added the paper, and ran the embossing folder through the diecutting machine. I love the effect and the embossing folder can just be rinsed with water.

La Dolce Vita Collection from Spellbinders

Hey My Sweet Friend!

Hi Friends! Today I have a card to share that I created with the new Play On Words Bundle at Taylored Expressions. The Play on Words Laying Stencil creates three colorful words, Hey, Hooray, and Just A Note. The new products are available now in the TE Store.  

I chose to work with the word Hey. I stenciled with Cookie Monster, Kiwi, and Guava Inks. I used Dill Pickle, Blue Raspberry, and Fruit Punch Inks to add the detail shading. Then I die cut with the Play on Words Coordinating Dies.

Next I created the background with the Bursting Dots Stencil. I linked the inks I used with the stencil below. After I stenciled I embossed with Bursting Dots Embossing Folder, which is available separately. The embossing folder adds great detail and texture to the card. 

To add extra detail I added Tiny Diamonds from the Bold Collection here and there on the embossed lines. The smaller sentiment is from the Mini Strips - Hello Add-ons.

Hey My Sweet Friend!

The Bear Hugs Kit

Hi All! Today I have a few projects to share with you that I created with the Bear Hugs Kit from Taylored Expressions. 

How cute are these warm and cozy bears! I created two cards and a tag with the kit. The kit is perfect for the winter season of crafting. 

On my first card is stamped the bear in Oreo Ink and used the Bear Hugs Coloring Stencil to add the color. I used Sea Salt and Oyster inks to add definition around the edges of the bear but still keeping the feeling of a white polar bear.  I used an Olo Marker, R0.1, to highlight the cheeks and inside of the ears. 

I foiled one of the Foil It - Bear Hugs, available for purchase separately,  with Cherry Pop Fun Foil and die cut with the Arched Stacklets, matting the image with TE White Glittered Cardstock, 

I used the Embossing Folder - Favorite Sweater, also available for purchase separately, to emboss the card front with Cherry Pop Cardstock. The sentiment is from the Beary Much Love Stamp Set, included in the kit. 

I stamped, stenciled, and die cut the bears and then die cut the image two more times from Sugar Cube Cardstock.  I glued the layers together to add the extra dimension. I foil another one of the Foil It - Bear Hugs Panels with Holographic Silver Glitter Fun Foil. Then I used the Set the Scene - Clouds Stencil Strips to stencil the clouds in Blueberry Ink. 

The snow is die cut with the  Build a Scene - Snow Drifts Dies. I added a little Blueberry Ink to the edges of the snow and then added All the Glitters: Fluffy Snow. 

The are three bear images in the kit. This is the third one that I used to create a tag with the Tag Stacklets 5 Die Set. I used both of the two new embossing folders that are available for purchase, Favorite Sweater and Tine Twinkles, on my tag. I finished off with a few Bits & Pieces - Snowflakes and white rhinestones.

The Bear Hugs Kit

It's Christmas at Taylored Expressions

It’s that time of year! I am always excited for the Christmas Release at Taylored Expressions! And today is the day! All the new products are available now in the TE Store. There are a number of bundles of products that work together to create a variety of cards. 

My first project is created with the Scattered Holiday Blooms Bundle, which includes the Scattered Holiday Blooms Layering Stencil, Scattered Holiday Blooms Cutting Plate Die, and the Folk Joy Die Set. The poinsettias, greenery, and berries are stenciled and die cut to add cut-in details on the leaves and centers. I also used a Foil It - Scattered Holiday Blooms panel with TE Gold foil. 

Here is a closer look. You can set how I used the die cuts to add dimension to the center of the poinsettias and add the additional holly leaves at the top JOY sentiment. 

The JOY sentiment is die cut for TE Red Glittered Cardstock. I die cut once from the glittered cardstock and two more times from Cherry Pop Cardstock and glued the layers together so that the sentiment stands out from the background. 

I love little homes for the holidays! The Home for the Holiday Collection includes everything you need to create scenes for holiday cards. Home for the Holidays includes the Home for the Holidays Layering stencil. You can stencil the background, add a sentiment, the card is ready to put in the mail. 

The Home for the Holidays Cutting Plate allows you to die cut the houses and and used them individually to create your card. The bundle also includes the Santa Stop Here Stamp Set and coordinating Santa Stop Here dies. 

On this card I chose to die cut the houses and add them back into the background using a foam square to pop them up. Santa and his reindeer are included in the Santa Stop Here Stamp Set. 

To create the background I cut a piece of Bleu Cheese Cardstock and then stenciled with the Build a Scene - Clouds Stencil Strips with Blue Corn Ink. Then I lightly splattered white paint on the card front. 

The next collection is Christmas in the City. I love it so much! I just so creative! The collection includes Around Town - Christmas Layering Stencil, Around Town - Christmas Coordinating Dies, the Winding Road Dies, Around Town Stencil, Christmas Time in the City Stamp Set and Christmas Time in the City Dies. 

This collections gives you everything you need to create sweet, fun scenes for the holidays. The Around the Town Stencil allows you to create different maps to layout your scene and the Winding Roads Die cuts a road. They can be used together or separately. 

The Around Town - Christmas Layering Stencil and Around Town - Christmas Coordinating Dies make quick and easy create people, cars, trees, etc! 

My final projects is created with the Joy to the World Dies, the All is Calm Stamp Set and coordinating dies, and the pretty Poinsettia & Pine 3D Embossing Folder. 

The Joy to the World Dies is a set of three dies that layer on top of each other to create the dimensional scene.  Behind the scene I added the night sky by stamping the Twinkle Twinkle Background Stamp with Versamark Ink on Licorice Cardstock and embossing with TE Gold Embossing Powder. 

I cut a piece of Red Pepper Cardstock for the card front and then embossed with the new 3D Embossing Folder - Poinsettia & Pine. The sentiment is from the All is Calm Stamp Set and I added the poinsettia with the Scattered Holiday Blooms Layering Stencil and Cutting Plate that I used on my first card.
