Paper Smooches Happy Birthday

I had a little time this weekend to play along with the Paper Smooches June Challenge: Layers. Adding layers makes for an easy challenge for me!  I am using one of my all time favorite Paper Smooches Stamps, Best Buds

I colored the image with Copic Markers and added a little glitter to the jar with  Zig Wink of Stella Pen in Clear. The image is die cut with the Best Buds Icon Dies. The background is embossed with the TE Bead Board Embossing Folder.

I cut a triangle from white card stock and die cut the holes with the Paper Smooches Polka Dot Borders Dies and ran twine through the middle row of dots. The sentiment is from the PS Salutations Stamp Set.  The final touch is a few 4mm Clear Droplets from Pretty Pink Posh

Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge Reminder - Key Lime

Hi and thanks for stopping by today! There is still time to play along with the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge - Key Lime. Hope you get a little time to create with us!

The LEAD of this challenge will be invited to be a guest designer in an upcoming challenge!

I loved the colors in the inspiration so much I just had to make another project!

I love having tags in my stash ready to go! I stenciled the background with Distress Ink in Shabby Shutter and layered the tag with a doily. The cupcake is created with  Mini Cupcake Die from Paper Smooches, adding a few clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh

The sentiment is also from Paper Smooches, the Salutations Stamp Set. This is definitely one of my go to stamp sets. I added a couple of paper roses and stick pins from Maya Road, Leaf Trinket Pins.

Thanks! You can stop by the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge for all the details!

Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge - Dear Santa

It's the 1st of December  and time for a new Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge! I love the inspiration photo for this challenge!

I hope you get a chance to play along. The LEAD of this challenge will be invited as a Guest Designer in a future challenge!

Here is my take on the Dear Santa Challenge.

I was inspired by the Typewriter Transparency from  Maya Road. The sentiment is from the Holiday Cheer Stamp Set from Paper Smooches. The holly is created with the Holly Dies, also from Paper Smooches.

Behind the typewriter I added a doily and red circle. I added twine at the top and the pattern paper is from Echo Park.

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you get a change to play along!

Merry Christmas Ornament Shaker

It was a very busy weekend but I did get a chance to play with a few new products from Paper Smooches and add one more card to my Christmas Card stash and play along the this week's challenge on the Paper Smooches Blog

I started by embossing white card stock for the card front with the Holly Embossing Folder from Taylored Expressions. Then I used the  Large Ornament Die from Paper Smooches to die cut the ornament directly into the card front. I like this die because you can decide how how large you would like the ornament to be.

I placed a piece of acetate behind the ornament and used foam tape to form the shaker. I dropped in sequins from Pretty Pink Posh and adhered the layers together.

I added a top to the ornament with dies in Large Ornament Die and hung the ornament with gold twine. The holly leaves are added with the Holly Die.

A Pretty Hello

Hi! I hope you have been having a good week! I am so looking forward to the weekend. June is not my favorite month at work; it's our fiscal year end and my brain is on overload!

I did get a chance to play along with this week Paper Smooches SPARKS June Picture Perfect Challenge.

Here's my take on the challenge. I die cut a number of the Ring Trio Die die from white card stock and layered them on a white card front. Next I inlayed patterned paper and vellum into the circles.

The frame is cut with the Frame 3 Die and I stamped a sentiment from the Gently Seasoned Two Stamp Set in gold ink and embossed with gold embossing powder on vellum. A few gold sequins from Pretty Pink Posh and gold twine finish off the card.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Your Love Ties Us Together

I have a couple of projects to share with you today using Paper Smooches products that were released in May. This is my last post as Guest Designer for Paper Smooches this month. Thanks Kim for having me!!

First up is a Father's Day card created with the Daddy Yo Stamp Set. I stamped the background pattern with the star border stamp from the stamp set. I stamped the tie and hand cut it out. The top sentiment is die cut with the File Folder Dies. The bottom sentiment is also from the stamp set.

On the inside I stamped another sentiment from the Daddy Yo Stamp Set.

Next up is a fun gift package. A while back I purchased the We R Memory Keepers Gift Box Punch Board and finally gave it a try. I created the box from a 12 x 12 piece of patterned paper and then stamped the cupcake from the Birthday Bash Stamp Set in black ink.

I used the Wave Dies to make the scalloped band that goes around the box. To make the tag I stamped the cupcake again, paper pieced the the bottom, and colored the frosting with Copics and sprinkled on some glitter. Then I used the Just for you Icons Dies to cut out the tag and add the heart.

Birthday Bash Shaker Card

Hi! I am back today with another Guest Designer project for Paper Smooches. I have a fun shaker card using the Birthday Bash Stamp Set and the Frame 3 Die

The Frame 3 Die makes this shaker card easy to put together. I stamped the balloons from the Birthday Bash Stamp Set and colored with Copic Markers. I cut the stamped image out in a rectangle to fit under the frame and added double sided foam tape around the edges of the rectangle.

I dropped in the sequins, added a piece of acetate behind the frame, and then placed the frame on the foam tape.

The sentiment is from the Birthday Bash Stamp Set and the pattern papers are from the Dear Lizzy Fine & Dandy 6 x 6 pad.

Thanks for stopping by!

Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge - Totally Tassel

Hi! It's the 15th of the month and that means it is time for the new Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge - Totally Tassel. Hope you get a chance to play along.

We have a wonderful returning sponsor, Newton's Nook, for the Curtain Call Inspiration: Totally Tassel!  A randomly selected participant in this challenge will receive a $30 gift certificate to use at Newton's Nook while the LEAD will be invited as a Guest Designer in a future challenge!

I was inspired to make this little gift for a friend of mine. I purchased the glass mug with the cute lid and straw at Michaels. You could fill the jar with lots of different, fun items. Here I added a couple of nail polishes in pretty summer colors, a nail file, and a gift card.

I used the Paper Smooches Birthday Bash Stamp Set and colored the cake with Copic Markers. I added glitter to the frosting and a Maya Road Doily and the glued the embellishment to a wooden stick.

I stamped a sentiment from the Birthday Bash Stamp Set on patterned 12 x 12 paper and wrapped it around the mug and attached the paper with a ribbon rather than glue so that the paper could be taken off and you could use the mug.

Make sure you visit each of the designers' blogs for more inspiration!

Paper Smooches May Release - Best Dad Ever

Hi!  I am so excited to be the Guest Designer for Paper Smooches for the month of May! I love their fun and creative stamps and dies and am thrilled to be sharing my projects for the month.

Today my projects are created with the Daddy Yo Stamp Set. Even the title of the stamp set is cute! I used the new Frame 3 Die to cut the frame from corrugated paper. I layered the sentiment behind the frame. I added the bow tie below the frame with another stamp from the Daddy Yo Stamp Set and die cut it out with the new File Folder Dies

Next I added the hat I created with the new Man Hat Dies. I cut the feather from gold glitter card stock. I think this card will make my Dad smile!

On the inside I added another sentiment from the Daddy Yo Stamp Set. The patterned papers are from the Authentique Everlasting 6 x 6 paper pad.

Next I used the Daddy Yo Stamp Set to create this tag. I just love that sentiment! I stamped the sentiment in white pigment ink and embossed with white embossing powder. I used the new Mustaches Dies to cut the mustache from black card stock and then I added a thin coat of black Glossy Accents. I mounted the mustache on a circle created with the Just for you Icons Dies

Thanks for stopping by! I will have more projects to share from the May Release next week!
