There is a sale on the Easy Strips Collection at Taylored Expressions this week, along with a few new products added to the collection. The new Foil It - Playful Patterns for Easy Strips are perfect for adding a little shine to your cards. 

For the fun layout of my card I used one of TE's Easy Strips Maps. Using one of the maps makes it so easy to lay down your strips. I used the Easy Strips Die - 1/2" to cut the strips after I foiled them. 

I used three TE Fun Foils on my project, Magical, Gold, and Cookie Monster. The Magical Foil is the one that gives you the blend of different colors. After I foiled the strips I kept the negative foil. I added the negative foil to a Gina K Designs Poly-Glaze Sheets - White, and ran it through my Mini Minc Foil Applicator and that gave me the strips with the solid color. 

In the center of the card I added a square of white cardstock, ink blended with Salt Water Taffy Ink. The flower stamp is the A Year in Bloom - August stamp and the vase is die cut with the A Year in Bloom Die Set - Vases and Places 2. The sentiment is from the Mini Strips - Floral Stamp Set.

Papertrey Ink July Release Countdown Day 2

Welcome to Day 2 of the Papertrey Ink July Release Countdown. This month is full of pretty floral, gardens, and large, focal point sentiments. And today I have a pretty stencil set to share with you. All the new products will be available on July 22nd at 12 PM EDT. 

I am loving the new  In the Meadow Stencil Collection. This is a set of six stencil which give you all the details and options for color variation. I used Sweet Blush, Autumn Rose, and Scarlet Jewel inks for the flowers and Simply Chartreuse and Ripe Avocado for the greenery. 

The sentiments are from the new This is Big Sentiments: Wishes Stamp Set. There are two font choices for the word Wishes and coordinating dies. Then there are great choices for the smaller sentiment, making the set perfect for many different occasions. 

I used the On the Edge: Scallops Collection Die to add the vertical border.

Next up is a look at the Mat Stack: Thank You So Much Collection. The collection includes the large sentiment die, a set of dies to add the sentiment to, and three stencils in different patterns. I didn't use the stencils in the collection on this card but I will have a card to share tomorrow that does. 

I used the In the Meadow Stencil Collection again with a different color combo, which I have listed below. After the stenciled the background I used the larger in the Die Mat Stack: Thank You So Much Die Set to die cut center of the stencil pattern. I put the die cut back into the card with form tape so that it would stand out from the background. 

I lightly splattered dark blue watercolor on the background and finished off with some crinkle ribbon.

Papertrey Ink July Release Countdown Day 2

Nature's Canvas Cardmaking Kit

Hi Crafters! Today I have projects to share that I created with new Nature's Canvas Cardmaking Kit from Taylored Expressions. The Nature's Canvas Stamp Set includes four pretty floral images that can be watercolored, colored with alcohol markers or blended with the Nature's Canvas Coloring Stencils. I used the stencils for my projects. 

I stenciled the floral images with a combination of Cupcake, Raspberry Sorbet, and Mulled Wine Inks for the larger flowers, Macaron Ink for the smaller florals, and Kiwi and Dill Pickles Inks for the leaves using a combination of my TE Detail Blender Brush and my TE Bitty Blender Brushes. 

I die cut the images with the Nature's Canvas Dies, which are available for purchase separately. Behind the flower I added a panel of Sugar Cube Cardstock that I lightly blended with Cupcake Ink and die cut with the Talking In Circles Piercing Plate Die. 

I framed the card with the Frame in Frame 2 Cutting Plate and used Mulled Wine Cardstock for the card base. I also added a few Bits & Pieces: White Foil Dots. 

The sentiments on my cards are stamped with the Timeless Greetings Stamp Set, which is included in the cardmaking kit. I die cut the sentiment with the coordinating Timeless Greetings Dies, that are available for purchase separately. 

For my second card I created a mini slim card with another image from the Nature's Canvas Stamp Set. The background is embossed with the Sweet Squares 6 x 6 Embossing Folder. I used Sugar Cube Cardstock and blended Cupcake Ink over the embossing and splattered white paint. 

I added a strip of Raspberry Sorbet Cardstock at the bottom with the Easy Strips - 1/2" Stitched Dies. This sentiment is also included in the Timeless Greeting Stamp Set. 

I used the Little Bits - Butterflies Dies to added the three butterflies. I added vellum over Raspberry Sorbet Cardstock.

The Cute Combos Release

Hi Crafters! Today I have look at the new Cute Combos Release at Taylored Expressions. This release is full of stamp & die combos that cover a wide variety of themes and occasions. There are 10 stamp and die combos in the release. I have four cards to share with you. 

My first card features the Cute to Boot Stamp & Die Combo. There are two different style boots in the stamp set. I couldn't resist the fun sunflower boots. I stamped the boots in Oreo Ink colored with a combination of Olo and Copic Markers.

I stamped the background with the Wood Plank Background Stamp, stamping in Versamark Ink on Toffee Cardstock, and embossing with white embossing powder. I die cut the background with the Frayed Edge Stacklets and blended Toffee Ink on the edges. 

I used the Checking In Background Stamp with Salt Water Taffy Ink and Salt Water Taffy Cardstock to added the center strip. The sentiment is included in the set. 

My next card features the Under the Sea Stamp and Die Combo. I colored the mermaid with Olo Markers and added some glitter to her fin. I used Olo Markers in:

G5.1, G5.3, G1.7

BG2.1, BG2.3, BG2.4,BG2.7

BV1.1, BV1.2, BV1.4, BV1.7

Y1.1, Y1.2

Behind the mermaid I used the Build A Scene - Waves Stencil Strips with Brussels Sprout, Poblano Pepper, Blue Raspberry, and Confetti Cake Inks. 

I used the Arched Stacklets to frame and mat the scene. The card front is stencil with the Flickering Stencil with Confetti Cake Ink on Confetti Cake Cardstock. 

I lightly splattered white paint on the background and added Bits & Pieces - Clear Drip Dots. 

Next up is a look at the Piñata Party Stamp and Die Combo. The set includes these two piñatas and sentiments. I colored with Olo Markers in:

R2.2, 2.4

BV 1.1, 1.2, 1.4, 1.7

B2.0, 2.2, 2.4, 2.6

YG 1.2, 1.4, 1.6

Y1.1, 1.2, 1.3

O 2.2, 2.4, 2.5

To create the card front I used the largest die in the Squiggle Stacklets with Macaron Cardstock. Next I used the Circle Stacklets to cut the circle in the center of the card front. Then I embossed with the Sprinkles Embossing Folder. I used a smaller circle die to mat the image with Kiwi Cardstock. 

I finished off with Glitter Drops in the colors I linked below. 

My last project features the Cottage Garden Stamp and Die Combo. I love the fun, happy flowers! 

I stamped and die cut the flowers and greenery and centered them on an oval die cut with the Stitched Oval Stacklets and matted with the Petite Scallop Oval Stacklets. 

The card front is die cut with the Swirls Pierce & Cut Plate from Cookie Monster Cardstock.

The Cute Combos Release

The Papertrey Ink August Release Day 1

Welcome to Day 1 of the Papertrey Ink August Release Countdown. This month's release features all things Fall and Halloween. All the new products will be available on August 27th at 10 PM ET.

My first card is centered around the This is Big Sentiments: Thankful Stamp Set and Dies. There are two styles of the word Thankful and then lots of options for sentiments to coordinate for many occasions. I stamped the sentiment in Olive Twist Ink.

I die cut the square in the middle with the new Love to Layer: Pinked Edges from Classic Kraft Cardstock., tucking it under a strip of Bitty Big Collection: Olive Twist Cardstock. I added the additional fall details with the previously released Fall Bouquet Stamp Set.

The background is stenciled with the pretty new Sunflower Garden Stencil.

Here is another look at the Sunflower Garden Stencil. This is a set of six stencils. I used a combination of Lemon Tart, Summer Sunrise, Classic Kraft, New Leaf, Pinefeather, Tropical Teal, Cocoa Bean, Aqua Mist Inks.

I stenciled one more sunflower and then die cut with the new Love to Layer: Pinked Edges Square. The is the other style of the Thankful Sentiment. 

I added a few bronze gems and the smaller sentiment at the bottom.

The center panel is die cut with the Love to Layer: Torn Edges Dies. Notice the background pattern. It is created with the new Cover Plate: Handmade Quilt Die. 

I finished off with a pom pom trim and accents of Stickles in Star Dust.

I used Copic Markers to added a little color to the small flowers and leaves. I added the orchid with the Into the Blooms: Orchid Dies. 

The patterned paper is another beautiful pattern in the Paper Rose Paper Rose - Botanical Blooms 6x6 Paper Collection.
