Spellbinders Large Die of the Month for December

Hi All! It's December 1st and time for  a look at the Large Die of the Month for December at SpellbindersThis month's Layered Stitched Background Large Die Set is perfect for making cards, decor, and more. The set features 6 cutting dies.

Membership Includes:

Exclusive Larger Set of Versatile Dies that cut, emboss, deboss and stencil. Double the size of the Small Die Set! $40 Value!

Project Inspiration: Each kit will feature project ideas with at least one detailed how-to instruction tutorial each month.

Member Benefits & Savings: Receive exclusive member pricing in the Spellbinders store. Plus receive access to deals, savings, and gifts - only available to members.

If you like to add hand stitching on a card this one is for you. I used one of the six dies to die cut the black cardstock. This die cuts all the details you need to add the stitching. If stitching is not for you the die cuts look great with a different color cardstock under the black. I the used gold floss included in the DMC Essential Metallics Diamant Metallic Thread Bundle.

Once I was done with the stitching I cut one of the dies from white cardstock and a second die from Mirror Gold Cardstock 8 1/2" x 11 - 10 Pack. You can how beautifully the die cuts layer together over the stitching. I used the same die as the one I used for the gold die cut to create the white background pattern.

The diamond borders are also created with dies included in this month's club. The sentiment is created with a previously released Clear Stamp of the Month Club

Today I am sharing my card I created with the Spellbinders Large Die of MonthBirthday Wishes for Everyone

The Birthday Wishes for Everyone die set includes the word Happy, numbers, and "st". I cut strips of different colored cardstock and layered the strips on a light weight cardstock. Then I die cut the words and numbers from the strips of paper and again from a gold cardstock. Then I layered the striped numbers on top of the gold die cuts.

The background is stamped with a stamp from a previously released Clear Stamp of the Month and the flowers and leaves are die cut with dies that were included in last month's Large Die of the Club. It is great how they all work together! I finished off the card with a few sequins.

There are three Heart dies in the set that you layer to create these beautiful hearts. I used gold foil, then a pale pink, with a brighter pink on top.

The Slimline Kaleidoscope Large Die Set included the dies to cut the flowers and the leaves. I added a simple sentiment and a gold jewel to the top of each heart. I really enjoy working with the long slimline card base and love the elegance of the card.

I starting by creating a card base from black cardstock, 3.5″ x 8.5″. Then I die cut the long heart panel from white cardstock and added red cardstock behind the frame. There are three Heart dies in the set that you layer to create these beautiful hearts.

I layered black, then red, and gold hearts and added a black jewel to the center of each heart. The set also included dies to cut leaves and flowers. On this card I chose to just add the leaf die cuts and add a simple sentiment. I really enjoy working with the long slimline card base and love the elegance of the card.

For my first card I went with a strawberry cake! All the dies are included in the Spellbinders Large Die of the Month, Have Your Cake that I used to create both card. I cut all the frosting from white Cardstock and blended TE Cupcake Ink to add the color.

I added the strawberries and the candle and then added the cake to patterned paper. My second card shows the other sentiment for the cake you can create. Here I made each layer of the card a different color. I also added a few jewels to the cake.

This month's die creates this easel and canvas. I put the easel together with black Cardstock and double stick tape, an added the accent at the top of the easel with gold foil.

I created the canvas from watercolor paper then stenciled the clouds in the background. The die set includes the dies to cut the vase, flowers, table, and paint pallet. The flowers are watercolored and I added gold jewels to the center of flowers with jewels from Pretty Pink Posh. See the links below.

Here's a closer look at the paint pallet and paint brush which could also be used to create a card!

Spellbinders Large Die of the Month Club for June

Hi Friends! It has been a beautiful weekend and I got to spend some quality time in my studio. I have two cards to share I created with a new die from the Spellbinders Large Die Club for June. This month's Geometrical Floral Frames Large Die Set is perfect for making cards, decor, and more. Each kit will feature project ideas with at least one detailed how-to instruction tutorial each month.

Here are my two cards.  There are two Geometrical Frames in the die set along with the flowers and leaves.

I used a plaid patterned paper for my color inspiration. I stamped the sentiment on a circle of vellum in Versamark Ink and embossed with Black Embossing Powder. I added the vellum circle to a white rectangle and added lace across the middle of the card.

Next I arranged the flowers and leaves and finished off with white jewels.

Here is a closer look at my second card. I used the larger frame die and I cut the frame from gold foil. I attached the frame to a piece of white Cardstock that I sponge on a ink lightly.

The sentiment is stamped in Versamark Ink and embossed with gold embossing powder. I added gold jewels to the center of the flowers and around the flowers.
