Today Taylored Expressions is releasing new Happy Half Sheets. With Happy Square Sheets, you can turn one 6 x 6 inch patterned panel into a coordinated collection of cards without wondering where to cut or how to arrange each piece. Two new sets of Happy Square Sheets are joining the TE catalog that give you the layouts and measurements for easy card layouts.

I used one of the layouts from Happy Half Sheets Volume 1. You can start with a piece of patterned paper or make your own. Here I used the Heart to Heart Stamp & Die Combo to create my patterned paper. I stamped a variety of hearts from the stamp set using Pink Champagne, Raspberry Sorbet, Jujube, and Mulled Wine Inks.

Here is my first layout. I die cut the sentiment with the Mega Messages Die Set - Hugs and added a die cut heart.

I used the Pierced Lattice Cutting Plate Die to die cut the card front which adds a subtle pattern.

Here is my second card. I just followed the layout and added the strip of the stamped pattern to a panel I die cut with the Pierced Lattice Cutting Plate Die from Raspberry Sorbet Cardstock.

The larger sentiment is die cut with the Mega Messages Die Set - Love and the smaller sentiment is from the Bitty Strips Stamp Set - Lots of Love.

The Second Chance Release

Hi and thanks for stopping by today. I have four projects to share with you today that I created with new products for the Second Chance release at Taylored Expressions. Twice a year, TE brings back select past Gifts with Purchase so you have a second chance to add these customer favorites to your collection, along with  brand-new coordinating products!

How cute are these adorable geese! They are created with the new Porch Goose Die Set! The die set includes numerous accessories to dress up the geese. There is a cute raincoat and umbrella that I did not use on this card. I used a color combo of Watermelon, Pear, Confetti Cake, and Blue Corn.

I die cut the arch with the Arched Stacklets and matted with the Scallop Arched Stacklets. The clouds are stenciled with the Set the Scene - Clouds Stencil Strips and the grass with the Set the Scene - Grass Stencil Strips.

The sentiment is from another fun goose set, the Silly Goose Stamp Set, and the card front is embossed with the new Tweed Embossing Folder.

My next card is created with the Sweetheart Blooms Layering Stencil, Foil It, and Sweetheart Blooms Piercing Plate. The Sweetheart Blooms Foil It is foiled with Champagne Foil and stencil with Pink Champagne, Guava, Fruit Punch, Honeydew Melon, Green Tea, and Brussels Sprouts Inks.

Next I used the Sweetheart Blooms Piercing Plate to die cut the stenciled heart and matted the heart with the scalloped heart die included in the die set from Honeydew Melon Cardstock.

The sentiment from the Lifetime of Love Stamp Stamp Set and die cut with the coordinating dies. I added the texture to the card front with the Quilted Cutting Plate Die.

I love the fun, happy Sunkissed Shores Layering Stencil and the Sunkissed Shores Mosaic Dies. First I stenciled the background with the Sunkissed Shores Layering Stencil using Blue Raspberry, Rock Candy, Pineapple and Candy Corn Inks.

Next I used Sunkissed Shores Mosaic Dies to created the center focal point. I die cut the die with Sugar Cube, Pineapple, Blue Raspberry, and Rock Candy Cardstock. I blended Salt Water Taffy Ink on the Sugar Cube Die cut and then inlayed the colored cardstock back into the triangle.

I splattered gold watercolor on the background and added a few Gold Glitter Drops. The sentiment is from the Endless Summer Stamp Set.

My last project features the Mega Messages Die Set and the Bitty Strips - Lots of Love Stamp Set.

I stenciled the card front with the Wallflowers - Bows Layering Stencil using Bubblegum, Fruit Punch, Peaches n' Cream, and Papaya Inks. The card front is die cut first with the Pierced Tiles Cutting Plate Die and then with the A2 Large Scallop Stacklets Die Set.

I stenciled and die cut a few extra bows to add to the card front.

Across the Miles

Hi All! Have you ever wanted a die of your home state or maybe a die for your bestie's how state? Well today Taylored Expressions is releasing state die and stamp combos for all the states! Whether you’re sending birthday wishes across the country, encouragement from afar, or a simple “thinking of you,” this release is filled with creative ways to bridge the distance with handmade kindness.

I got to choose two states to work with and I choose California and Ohio. I am native Californian and my husband is originally from Ohio so we have relatives there.

I die cut the California Clear Stamp & Die Combo from Royal Icing Cardstock and Ohio from Brussels Sprout and blended the edges of each state with the coordinating inks. The background is stamped with the previously released Roadmap 6 x 6 Background Stamps. I used Honeydew Melon ink on Honeydew Melon Cardstock.

To add the dashed line between the states and stamp the sentiment I used stamps in the new Close at Heart Stamp Set and coordinating dies. The small travel icons are included in the Across the Miles Dies.

Next up is a look at the new Across the Miles Stamp Set and Dies. I stamped the Across the Miles Map with Toffee Ink on Toffee Cardstock and die cut with the coordinating die. To send birthday wishes from California I die the my state from Royal Icing Cardstock and blended Sour Gummy Ink on the edges. Next I brushed the edges with Versamark Ink and embossed with TE White Embossing Powder. To add to the vibe I added sunglasses, die cut with the Little Bits - Sunglasses Die, and an umbrella die cut with the Under My Umbrella Stamp Set.

The card front is die cut with the Postage Stacklets from Royal Icing Cardstock and embossed with the Halftone Dots Embossing Folder. The sentiments are from both the Acoss the Miles and Close to My Heart Stamp Sets and Dies.

The For Her Release from Taylored Expressions

Today's Taylored Expressions new release is For Her! The release is full of beautiful sewing and stitching inspired products, and a pretty family tree. All the products are available now in the TE Store.

My first two projects feature some of the new stitching and sewing products. I used a color combination of Rose Water, Raspberry Sorbet, Jujube, and Sweet Basil Inks and Cardstock.

There are two different embroidery hoop dies in this release. I used the Classic Embroidery Hoop Die with the Woodgrain Cardstock - Kraft. I used the new Charming Bloom Layering Stencil for the designs inside the hoops.

I used the new Micro Dot Background Stamp with Rose Water Ink to add the background behind the stenciling, perfect for the look of counted cross stitch fabric. I used the Little Bits - Needle and Thread and Little Bits - Thread Card to die cut additional embellishments.

The card front background is stamped with the Cross Stitch 6x6 Background Stamp.

The larger sentiments are stamped and die cut with the Sew Essential Stamp and Die Combo. I stamped in Versamark Ink and embossed with TE White Embossing Powder. The smaller sentiments are from the new  Bitty Strips - Sew Essential Stamp Set and die cut with the Bitty Strips Die.

The Embroidery Floss sentiment on the thread card is included in the Seed & Such - Sew Essential Clear Stamp Set.

I used TE Gold Foil for the needle and embroidery hoop top.

My next card showcased the new Family Tree Stamp and Stencil Combo. You can stencil hearts or flowers. The tree is stamped in Brussels Sprout Ink and I used Watermelon Ink to stencil the hearts.

I created the background by using the Build-A-Scene - Cloud Stencil Strips with Royal Icing Ink and blending Honeydew Melon Ink at the bottom.

I added the birds and birdhouses with the Little Bits Die Set - Birds and Birdhouses and the sentiment if from the From the Heart Stamp Set.

Hex Effects!

It is the last Tuesday of the month and time for another Taylored Expressions Cardmaking Kit. Welcome Hex Effects! The Hex Effects kit is designed to make cardmaking simple with endless possibilities. Supplies are limited, so be sure to grab yours before they're gone.

I have two projects with the kit to share with you today.

To create my first card I used the Hex Effects Cutting Plate Die with the Hexagon Layering Stencil. I stenciled with Guava, Fruit Punch, Granny Smith, and Potato Chip Ink. Then I die cut the Hex Effect Cutting Plate Die from Sugar Cube Cardstock and layered the die cut over the stencil to create the card front.

To created the center hexagons I stamped the Polka Chic Background Stamp on Sugar Cube Cardstock with Versamark Ink and then embossed with TE White Embossing Folder, and then stenciled over the white embossing. I die cut the polka dot hexagons and used foam tape to inlay the die cuts back into the card front.

I used the Mini to Mighty Stamp Set - Valentine Stamp Set and Dies to add the sentiment to the center of the card.

On my second card I used a TE Maps - Hex Effects, that is included in the kit, to create the card front. I chose the map that reminded me of a quilt pattern. I used the Hex Effects Cutting Plate Die to die cut the patterned hexagons. I used Macaron, Kiwi, Blue Raspberry, and Potato Chip cardstock.

Then I followed the page map and glued the die cut hexagons to create the pattern. I used foam tape to attach the center yellow hexagons to add dimension. I added a heart that I die cut with the Dinky Decorations Die Set - Valentine and added a Bits & Pieces - Cookie Monster Glitter Drop.

This sentiment is from the Sew Many Wishes Stamp Set and die cut with the coordinating dies.
