It’s a Family Reunion for Taylored Expressions 10th Birthday!

Long before I was a card designer or a member of a Design Team I followed Taylor's work! I remember when she announced she was starting a stamp company and I still have the first TE Stamp Set I purchased. I have been lucky enough design for Taylored Expressions off and on since 2010! I feel blessed to be involved with TE and Taylor and her wonderful family.

We have over 40 designers involved in the hop today! Stop by the TE Blog to get the full list of participants.

All the new products were released last night and available HERE.

At the heart of Taylored Expressions is a mission to share joy through the gift of handmade cards. As part of their 10th birthday TE is continuing that mission with the launch of a special Share Joy campaign focused on providing birthday cards to those in nursing homes and assisted-living facilities across the U.S. To make as deep an impact as possible TE is inviting card makers everywhere to join the campaign. Will you join us? Find out how to participate by viewing their Share Joy page HERE

Here is my birthday card I created in celebration of TE 10th Birthday featuring a number of the newly released products. Let's start with the fun background, stamped with the new Sweet Sprinkles Background Stamp. Using my Misti I stamped the background in a variety of colors. I used the new Caps Lock - Happy to die cut the word happy from Guava Cardstock and from Chipboard. I adhered the two layers together for more dimension.

The sweet puppy image is from the new Yippee Critters Stamp and Die Combo. The balloons are created with the Bold Balloons Stamps Set and coordinating dies and I used the Balloon Strings Dies to created strings for the puppy to hold. The sentiment is from the new Caps Lock Companion - Happy Occasions  and die cut with the Banner Stacklets 1. I finished off with a few sequins from the Hello Sunshine Shaker Filling

Pretty Pink Posh September Release is Now Available

Hi Everyone! The September Pretty Pink Posh Release is now available.  We have seven new stamp sets and coordinating die and foUr new individual dies, and some beautiful new colors of jewels. Today I have project to share with the new Halloween Pals Stamp Set and Halloween Pals Coordinating Dies.

As we head into Fall and the Holiday Season I am always just a little extra excited to create projects at this time of year. Halloween is always fun and Halloween Pals Stamp Set is so cute!

I stamped the images in black ink,  colored with Copic Markers, and die cut with the Halloween Pals Coordinating Dies. To add detail to the scene I die cut a fence with the Picket Fence Die and the grass with the Scallop Border Dies

To create the background I cut a piece of watercolor paper for the card front. I die cut a circle to add the moon with a the circle die in the Summer Friends Stamp Set. Then I stamped the stars and sentiment included in  the Halloween Pals  Stamp Set in Versamark Ink and embossed with gold embossing powder. To create the night sky I used Distress Inks in Dried Marigold, Seedless Preserves, and Chipped Sapphire.

Here is a look at the back of the paper where I used form tape to create a small shaker for the moon. I dropped in confetti from the Sparkling Clear Confetti Mix and the a few of the new  Marigold Jewels.

I add the grass and fence to the scene and determined where I wanted the stamped images to be placed. I added a few more of the new Marigold Jewels to the night sky to add a little sparkle. I attached the scene I built to a black card base. I think this sweet scene will make someone special smile this Halloween!

I hope I inspired you to start creating for the holiday season! You can find all the new products HERE

I cut the sentiment once from Lime Zest Cardstock and once from Chipboard and adhered the two layers together. The "Birthday" sentiment is from the new Caps Lock Companion - Happy Occasions

Spellbinder's New Cuppa Coffee, Cuppa Tea Collection by Sharyn Sowell

Hi Everyone! Today I am sharing two cards I created with the Spellbinders New Cuppa Coffee, Cuppa Tea Collection by Sharyn Sowell. I like have a few coffee and tea inspired products in my stash. I have many friends that love coffee or tea and often create birthday or thank you cards with a coffee or tea theme and add a gift card to their favorite coffee shop.

My first card features the new Shapeabilities Robin and Rosy Mug Etched Dies. I like the embossed details on the mug. I added a little highlighting with a Copic Marker in BG000. I used one of the flower dies in the set and die cut directly in the center of the mug and then inlayed the pieces for the flower and leaves.

I added distress ink to highlight the bird and then used foam tape to perch the bird at the top of the cup. I created the tea bag and added twine with a little but of glue to attach the twine to the card.

My second card is created with the new Shapeabilities Coffee Woman Etched Die. I love the folk art feel! I die cut the image from Kraft cardstock and then inlayed the flowers. I used a stencil to add the sun rays.

The sentiment is included in the die set. I added a piece of lace. Just thought the lace was a nice touch with the folk art feel.

Giving Thanks with Pretty Pink Posh

Hi and thanks for stopping by! I have a Fall inspired card to share with you today. I used some pretty fall colors and the Stitched Foliage Dies from Pretty Pink Posh.

I created the background by randomly stamping the leaves from the Giving Thanks Stamp Set in Toffee Ink on Kraft Cardstock. Then I used the larger die in the Stitched Hexagon Dies directly into the card front and added vellum behind the die cut. On the vellum I stamped a sentiment from the Giving Thanks Stamp Set in Versamark Ink and embossed with gold embossing powder.

I die cut the pumpkin and leaves with the Stitched Foliage Dies from watercolor paper. I used Distress Inks in Scattered Straw, Spiced Marmalade, Carved Pumpkin, Crushed Olive, and Peeled Paint. Then I splattered the die cuts with gold paint. I finished off by adding a few Metallic Gold Jewels.

Thanks for taking a look! Stayed tuned next week for the September Pretty Pink Posh Release.

Halloween Kitchen Decor

Hi Everyone! I am enjoying the start to my Fall and Holiday creating season! Today I have a piece Halloween Decor I created for my kitchen. I used one of the Frame-Worthy Halloween Home Decor Coloring Pages from Taylored Expressions.

I used Copic Markers to color the print. The Copics  blend really nicely on the paper.

At the top I added two spider web Skinny Mini Halloween Borders. I die cut the Little Bits - Witches Hat and attached the hat to the corner of the E. I added a few sequins that add a touch of sparkle.

I framed the piece with a simple black frame from my local craft store. I look forward to adding my project to my kitchen counter this Halloween Season!

Halloween Treat Bags with Pretty Pink Posh

Hi Everyone! With kids heading back to school it will be time to start creating for fall before we know it! Today I have a couple of Halloween inspired tags for treat bags with the Trick or Treat Friends Stamp Set and coordinating Dies from Pretty Pink Posh.

I picked up the Kraft window bags and small clothes pins at my local craft store. Clothes pins are a quick and easy way to attach tags and you can use your ink to add color to the wood.

I stamped in black ink and colored with Copic Markers and then die the images with the Trick or Treat Friends Coordinating Dies. For the the base of the tags I used the larger die in the Scallop Square Tags Dies. I die cut from watercolor paper, added Distress Ink in Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot. Then I splattered gold paint.

I added a few Gold Star Sequins to the background, filled my bags with M & M's and attached the tags.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great week!
