Birthday Wishes

Hi Everyone and happy Friday! I am popping in today with a birthday card I created with the Sparkle Dot Patterns 2 Stamp Set from Pretty Pink Posh.

I started by cutting a piece of watercolor paper for the card front. I used Distress Oxide Inks in Broken China and Peeled Paint to create the sky and grass background. The frame is cut is the smaller die in the Scallop Frames Dies.  I stamped a sentiment from the Birthday Friends Stamp Set in Versamark Ink on vellum and then embossed with black embossing powder.

The sparkling balloon is so easy to create with the Sparkle Dot Patterns 2 Stamp Set. You just stamp your pattern in a light colored ink and add the pretty Watermelon Jewels! The clouds are die cut with the Rainy Days Coordinating Dies and the flowers are stamped with the Bunny Friends Stamp Set and die cut with the Bunny Friends Coordinating Dies

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend!

Happy Birthday

Hi Everyone! I hope you had a great weekend. It was so beautiful here! I had a little time in my studio and I created this card with pretty products from Pretty Pink Posh.

I have a number of family and friends birthdays in May. I went with pretty spring colors and a little bling for one of besties! I cut a piece of lavender cardstock for the card front and added a panel of lavender cardstock in the middle with the Stitched Notes Dies

The flower and leaves are stamped with the Wild Rose Stamp Set, colored with Copic Markers, and die cut with the Wild Rose Coordinating Dies. I cut the frame from black cardstock with the larger die in the Scallop Circles Dies. Behind the circle I just added a circle of white cardstock that was brushed lightly with yellow ink. The "Birthday" sentiment is from the Fox Friends Stamp Set

The word "happy" is die cut with the Happy Easter Script Die. At the bottom I added three rows of beautiful jewels. These are so pretty in person! I used the Sparkle Dot Patterns 2 Stamp Set to stamp my pattern, making it so easy to attach the jewels. The three colors are Lemon Drop JewelsShamrock Jewels, and Pansy Purple Jewels

Thanks for stopping by! Have a good week!

A Bunny Celebration

Hi Everyone! I am sharing this sweet birthday card on the Pretty Pink Posh blog today.  I just love the cute bunnies in the Bunny Friends Stamp Set. I used the set in combination with the Birthday Friends Stamp Set to put together this birthday scene.

To create the background I cut a piece of watercolor paper for the card front. Using a blending tool I blended Distress Oxide Inks in Peacock Feathers, Twisted Citron, Squeezed Lemonade, and Worn Lipstick. Next I spritzed the paper with water and splashed on white paint. Once the paper had dried I die cut the half circle directly in the card front with the larger die in the Window Frames Dies

The stamped images are colored with Copic Markers and the highlights are added with a white gel pen. I images are die cut with the Bunny Friends Coordinating Dies and the Birthday Friends Coordinating Dies. Behind the frame I added foam tape to give dimension between the two layers.  The hill is grass is cut with the Scallop Borders 2 Dies

The sentiment is from the Everyday Greetings Stamp Set and the card is finished off with sequins from the Sparkling Clear Confetti Mix

Thanks for joining me today!

Birthday Wishes With Pretty Pink Posh

Hi Everyone and thanks for stopping by today. I needed a birthday card this weekend for a child's party. I created this card with the Birthday Friends Stamp Set from Pretty Pink Posh.

All these great scene building stamped images and sentiment are included in the Birthday Friends Stamp Set. I colored the images with Copic Markers and added the polka dots on her dress and highlights on the balloons with a white gel pen. The images are die cut with the Birthday Friends Coordinating Dies

To create the frame I die cut the Storybook 5 Die directly into the card front. I die cut the frame again from white cardstock and inlayed the two white cuts into the frame. The white cardstock is brushed lightly with yellow ink. To add a little sparkle I attached a few sequins from the Easter Sequins Mix

Thanks for taking a look!

Sending Lots of Love

Hi Everyone! I have a card I put together this weekend in pretty spring colors and products from Pretty Pink Posh. It is actually feeling a bit like spring this week!

To create the background I used a piece of watercolor paper  to fit inside the card base. Next I stamped a sentiment from the Everyday Greetings Stamp Set in Versamark Ink and embossed with Gold Embossing Powder. I blended Distress Inks in Spiced Marmalade, Wild Honey, and Squeezed Lemonade. Then I die cut the frame with the larger die in the Scallop Frames Dies, inlaying the center back into the frame. The frame is matted with a piece of gold foil.

The flower are from the Pretty Petunias Stamp Set and die cut with Pretty Petunias Coordinating Dies. The stamped image is colored with a combination of Copic Markers and Colored Pencils. I splattered the card with gold paint and finished off with a few sequins from the Sparkling Clear Confetti Mix and the 6mm Gold Confetti.

Thanks for stopping by and have a good week.

It's Release Day at Taylored Expressions

Hi and thanks for stopping by! It's April Release Day at Taylored ExpressionsAll the new products are available at the TE web store NOW.

Today I have two cards to share with you created with a number of new products from the new release including two of the new stencils.

My first card features the new Rosette Cutting Plate. I cut the plate four times, once from Sugar Cube Cardstock to create the frame, and then from Confetti Cake Cardstock, Lime Zest Cardstock, and from the Playful Patterns - Sweet Paper Pack. Then I inlayed the colored cardstocks in the white frame.

In the center I added the pattern with the new Chevron Arrow Stencil. The additional smaller flowers are cut with the new Bloomers 8 Dies and the butterflies with the new Little Bits - Butterfly

I created the pattern on my second card with the new Polka Stencil and one of the new ink colors being release this month, Guava. I just love this color! The frame is cut with the Stitched Frame Stacklets 2. I stamped and colored the flowers from the Cutting Edge - Flowers Stamp and Die Combo. I hand cut just a little ways into the flowers so that they would fit inside the circle.

The sentiment is from the Cutting Edge - Flowers Stamp and Die Combo, as are the small leaves I stamped inside the frame. At the top I added the leaves with the Bloomers Greenery Die and the bow with the new Little Bits - Bows

Taylored Expressions April Sneak Peeks Day 3 - Grad

Hi and thanks for stopping by for Day 3 of Taylored Expressions April Release Sneak Peeks.  All the new products will be available on April 5th at 7:00 am PST.

My first card  is a graduation card. I kept the colors neutral so that it could be used for anyone, any age. The background is stamped with the new Triangle Tetris Background. I stamped with Versamark Ink and embossed with the new TE Fine Detail Gold Embossing Powder. Next I die cut with the new Caps Lock - Grad Die, once directly into the card front, 3 times from white cardstock,  and once from Gold Foil. I glued the layers together and the inlayed the letters in the card front. This gives some nice dimension to the card front.

The sentiment is from the new Caps Lock Companion - Grad Stamp Set. I stamped on vellum with Versamark Ink and embossed with the TE Detail Black Embossing Powder. The grad hats are die cut with the Little Bits - Hats Off Die and the confetti with the Little Bits - Grad Confetti.

My second card uses the new Cutting Edge Stars Stamp and Die Combo. You can see how the die cuts out the stars and finishes off a nice, clean edge. The stars are embossed in TE Detail Gold Embossing Powder and colored with Copic Markers. The sentiment is included in the stamp set and is also embossed.

The night sky background is created with the new Scattered Stars Stencil. I am so excited about stencils being added to the TE line. Here I used gold embossing paste for the stars. I used watercolor paper and sponged on Distress Ink in Broken China, Blueprint Sketch, and Chipped Sapphire.

Taylored Expressions April Sneak Peeks Day 2 - You Color My World

Thanks for stopping by for Day 2 of Taylored Expressions April Release Sneak Peeks.  All the new products will be available on April 5th at 7:00 am PST. I have a number of new products to share with you today. Let's start off with the new Color Me Background Stamp

This background stamp has so many possibilities. Here I stamped in Oreo Ink and colored with Copic Markers. But it also works great to stamp in a light color ink for subtle background pattern, or embossing and blending a few ink colors.

The flower is created with the new Roll With It Flower 1 Mixed Media Die. Mixed Media dies will cut through additional thicker materials like chipboard, leather, fabric, denim, and multiple layers of cardstock. In order to designate the Mixed Media functionality, you’ll find that TE Mixed Media dies have a black coating as opposed to the silver coating of the metal in the rest of the TE collection. I cut the flower from Confetti Cake Cardstock, one of the new color of cardstock being released this month. The sentiment is from the A Life She Loved Stamp Set. It is stamped in Versamark Ink and embossed with the new TE Detail White Embossing Powder and die cut with the Stitched Banner Stacklets.

My second card features the new Simply Stamped - Wreath Stamp Set and Coordinating Dies. The sentiment is included in the stamp set. I stamped on vellum in Versamark Ink and embossed with the new TE Detail Gold Embossing Powder.

The polka dots are created with the new Polka Dot Stencil and white embossing paste. I cut the scalloped border with an edge of the largest die in the Frame in Frame 2 Cutting Plate.

Taylored Expressions April Release Sneak Peeks - Pirates and Unicorns

Hi and welcome to the first day of Taylored Expressions April Sneak Peeks! This release includes 18 stamp sets and 22 dies, and a couple of brand new additions to the TE line, three new colors of Cardstock, stencils and embossing powders! Today have pirates and unicorn projects to share, perfect for birthday party cards,  invitations, and party favors. All the new products will be available on April 5th at 7:00 am PST.

My first card features the new On the Water Pirate Ship Die and the Shiver Me Timbers Stamp Set and dies. I started by creating my card front. I cut a piece of Sugar Cube Cardstock. You will notice a subtle white stripe to the paper. I stamped the Striped Background Die in Versamark Ink and then embossed with the new TE Detail White Embossing Powder. Next I cut the circle in the card front with the new Stitched Frame Stacklets 2

Behind the circle is a look at one of the new Stencils, Go With the Flow. I used embossing paste on Salt Water Taffy Cardstock. I added the sand shoreline with the Build a Scene - Rolling Hills and used the the On the Water Pirate Ship Die to build the pirate boat. The sentiment and the two stamped images are from the new Shiver Me Timbers Stamp Set and die cut with the coordinating Shiver Me Timbers Dies.

My second card features the new Build A Unicorn Die Set. I used the Stitched Frame Stacklets 2 again to cut the circle in the card front. I created the background pattern with the new Majestic Stencil and one of the new ink colors, Confetti Cake. The sentiment is from the new Be A Unicorn Sentiment. I stamped on Vellum with Versamark Ink and embossed with the new TE Fine Detail Embossing Powder in Silver. I just LOVE  this sentiment.

Here is a closer look at the unicorn. I used all three of the new Cardstock colors, Confetti Cake, Guava, and Lime Zest mixed with TE Silver Foil. The stars are included in the die set and I added a few Snow Flurries Sequins.
