MFT's February Creative Challenge

Thanks for stopping by for MFT's February Creative Challenge.

Is there any holiday that spotlights sweet and cuddly imagery more than Easter? Bunnies, chicks, and eggs in pretty pastels are the norm but I have a feeling our team will open your eyes to a variety of beautiful new Easter crafting ideas with this month’s Creative Challenge. Get a jump (or a hop?) start on Easter projects as we hop into action, Easter-style!

Be sure to stop by the MFT Blog for the list of all the designers sharing projects today.

My first project is an Easter card. I started off by creating my background patterns. For the card front I used the Fine Check Background Stamp, stamping Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink on Summer Splash Card Stock, and embossing with white embossing powder.

For the center panel I stamped the Polka Dot Background Stamp with Lemon Chiffon Premium Dye Ink on Lemon Chiffon Card stock, and then die cut with the Stitched Jumbo Fishtail Banner STAX Die-namics.

I used the word happy form the Happy Birthday Die-namics, and made two die cuts. Once directly into the card stock and the again from Ripe Raspberry Card Stock, then inlaying the word into the cut in card stock.

I used the Inside & Out Diagonal Stitched Rectangle STAX to cut the small rectangle into the Fishtail. Inside the rectangle I added a hill with the Stitched Snow Drifts Die-namics. The sentiment and the eggs are created with the Easter Bunny Stamp Set and coordinating Die-namics. The flower is added with the Spring Tulips Stamp Set and Die-namics.

On the inside I used some additional stamps from the  Easter Bunny Stamp Set

Next is a cute, little Easter basket to hold a few sweet treats. To put the basket together like this you need the Trapezoid Treat Box and the Woven Basket Die-namics. I highlighted the embossed weaving with the Toner Gray, T1, Copic Marker.

My final project is a tag that can dress up the plainest of bags. I used the Somebunny Stamp Set and Die-namics to the create the bunny, clouds, and flowers. The sentiment is also from the stamp set. I stamped the Swiss Dots Background Stamp in the background.

Here are the products I used to create by projects;
