The Birthday Bash Release at Taylored Expressions!

Hi! I can never have too many birthday cards ready to go! The new Birthday Bash Release at Taylored Expressions has some fun, new products for birthday cards. All the new products are available now in the TE Store

My first card is a 5 x 7 card. TE recently released the A7 Layer Stacklets Die Set and in this release there is a new 5 x 7 background stamp, the Funfetti 5x7 Background-Stamp. I stamped the background in Versamark Ink on Cupcake Cardstock and embossed with Gold Sparkle Embossing Powder.

The birthday cake is created with the  Icing on the Cake Stamp, Die and 3D Embossing-Folder, the Icing on the Cake Additions, and the Icing on the Cake Stencil. The stencil allows you to add color to each layer of the cake and the icing. I used Cupcake, Peaches n' Cream, Rose Water, and Banana Cream Inks. I used TE Happy Medium - Iridescent Glitter to add sparkle to the icing.

I used the Icing on the Cake Additions Die Set to add the cake plate and the banner on top of the cake. The flowers are added with the Fresh Flowers Die Set and the sentiment is from the Birthday Bash Stamp Set. I finished off the card with a scatter of TE Bits & Pieces - Sparkle Party.

Next up is a look at the Birthday Bash Stamp Set and Birthday Bash Dies. The stamp set includes a variety of birthday themed stamps and sentiments. I stamped a few of each image in different colors and attached them to the background. The center circle is die cut with the Open Scallop Circle die and the Stitched Circle Stacklets.

I stamped background with the Funfetti 5x7 Background-Stamp with Salt Water Taffy Ink on Salt Water Taffy Cardstock. The stamped stars and confetti are included in the Birthday Bash Stamp Set.

The sentiment is included in the Birthday Bash Stamp Set. I added the small stars with the Bits & Pieces - Holographic Silver Stars.

La Dolce Vita Collection from Spellbinders

Hi Crafters! I have three projects to share with you today from the La Dolce Vita Collection from Spellbinders. This is a beautiful summer themed collection, perfect for all your summertime crafting.

I used the Beyond the Door Etched Dies, Citrus Spritz Etched Dies, Lemon Fresco 3D Embossing Folder, and the La Dolce Vita Sentiments BetterPress Plate & Die Set from the La Dolce Vita Collection to create my three projects. I have linked the products below.

Let's start with a look at the  Beyond the Door Etched Dies. I love the pretty and peaceful scene these dies create. I die cut all the pieces from colored cardstock and then added some ink blending to highlight the etched dies.

I used the Lemon Fresco 3D Embossing Folder for the background of the card. I used white cardstock blended with a pale green ink. Then I started gluing the die cut pieces in place.

The sentiments are from the La Dolce Vita Sentiments BetterPress Plate & Die Set. The BetterPress plates can be used with the Betterpress System or the Glimmer Hot Foil System. Here a used the Glimmer Hot Foil System and Cobalt Blue Foil.

Here is another example using lemons around the door rather than the flowers and a different flower pot option.

Here is a closer look at all the texture and detail.

Here I used the BetterPress System with black ink for the sentiment.

My final card features the Citrus Spritz Etched Dies. I love the mix of the lemons with the greenery and flowers. Feels like summer!

I used the Citrus Spritz Etched Dies again for the background but this time I inked the embossing folder with a pale yellow ink, added the paper, and ran the embossing folder through the diecutting machine. I love the effect and the embossing folder can just be rinsed with water.

Here are two more sentiments from the La Dolce Vita Sentiments BetterPress Plate & Die Set.

Thanks for stopping by! Here's to a great summer!

On my first card I used the Snailed It Stamp, Stencil, & Clear Combo to create this fun background. I started by stamping the Snailed It Stamp in Versamark Ink on Sugar Cube Cardstock and embossing with TE White Embossing Powder. Next I used the four stencil to created the snails. I used a combination of Toffee, Kiwi, Dill Pickle, and Rock Candy Inks. Then I used the clear stamp set with Oreo Ink to stamp the faces on the snails.

I splattered the background with a brown watercolor paint and the die cut the panel with the largest die in the Squiggle Stacklets.  I stenciled a few extra snails, flowers, and mushrooms to add to the front of my card. The images are die cut with the Snailed It Cutting Plate Die.

I die cut a piece of Kiwi Cardstock with the  Easy Strips - 1/2" stitched die and wrapped it around the card along with a strip of vellum. I added the die cut images and a sentiment from the Let's Shell-ebrate Stamp Set and die cut with the coordinating dies. The sentiment set and dies are available for purchase separately.

My second card features the Blooms & Shrooms Die Set, which is also available for purchase separately. I die cut the mushrooms and flowers from Potato Chip, Kiwi, Dill Pickle, and Rock Candy Cardstock and blended ink on the die cuts for shading.

I used the Squiggle Stacklets to die cut the from rectangle and stenciled clouds with the Set the Scene Cloud Stencil Strips with Salt Water Taffy Ink. At the bottom I added a strip of Kiwi Cardstock. I arranged the mushrooms and flowers and then added the snails and smaller flowers and mushrooms.
