You Warm My Heart

Hi Everyone! I hope you had a wonderful holiday! I moved about three months ago so this wasn't my most organized Christmas but it was great to start new memories in our new home. I am sharing my last card for 2016 today! But be sure to stop by on New Year's Day for the Season's Giving Year 5 Blog Hop!

Here is my thank you card I created with products from Pretty Pink Posh.

I started by cutting the windows with the Storybook 3 Die. The little girl, the shovel, and the sentiment are from the Winter Wonderland Stamp Set  and die cut with the Coordinating Winter Wonderland Dies

The trees were cut with a die in the Winter Friends Die Set and I added snow with Nuvo Crystal Drops in white.  The hill of snow is die cut with Scalloped Borders Dies. I used watercolor paper and Distress Ink to create the background. I added the frame with the Scalloped Frames Dies. The card is finished off with sequins from the Sparkling Clear Mix

Thanks for stopping by! I SO appreciate all your comments and support in 2016!

Annual Christmas Scrapbook Layout

Hi! I am up on the Maya Road Design Team Blog today sharing a scrapbook layout.  But sure to stop by the blog for lots of inspiration!

My daughter Lisa got married this year and we actually had a photo of all of us to send out! I layered a variety of patterned papers and vellum to frame the photo. I embossed the vellum with an embossing folder to added a little more texture.

I cut three snowflakes with the Winter Wonderland Snowflakes Die from white card stock and add a little glitter with a glitter pen. I also tucked a Golden Ice Crystal Charm slightly under the photo. I like to use a thin foam tape when I attach photos, leaving the edges free, to I can tuck in some of the embellishments.

I love the So Deer Die! I have used it a lot this holiday season. Here I cut the deer from a gold foil. I used the Tabbed File Folder Die to add the tab at the top and added a word sticker.

At the bottom of the page I cut a gold frame with the Scalloped Frame ATC Die and the word "love" with the Fanciful Love Die. To finish off the page I scattered Resin Mini Mums in Snow White and clear sequins.

Thanks for stopping by! We are counting down the days until Christmas! Wishing all my crafty friends a very Merry Christmas!

It's Release Day at Taylored Expressions

It's release day at Taylored Expressions! All the new December products are available at the TE web store NOW.  I have two cards to share today showcasing a number of the new products. I hope you will inspired to create create a project for some who is special to you!

I created this shaker card with my husband in mind. My husband is a guitarist and has played in bands since he was 16 years old. He is a big fan of the Beatles so this sentiment, from the All You Need is Love Stamp Set, is prefect! I stamped the sentiment on Oreo Card Stock in Delicata Golden Glitz Ink and embossed with gold embossing powder. I used foam tape to form the shaker.

The background is stamped with the new Musical Background Stamp and the embellishment is cut with Little Bits - Treble/Bass.

My second card is a masculine Valentine. The background is stamped with the Woodgrain Background Stamp in Earl Grey Ink. I used the new Brushstroke Valentine to stamp the sentiment in Delicata Silvery Shimmer Ink. I created the window with the Stitched Rectangle Stacklets.

I love the font on the Sweet Script Die. I cut the word twice from Cherry Pop Card Stock and glued them together to add a little more depth. The word "heart" is stamped with a sentiment in the How Sweet It is Stamp Set.

Pretty Pink Posh Christmas Theme Week

Hello Friends! I am up on the Pretty Pink Posh Blog today sharing my project for the Christmas Theme Week & Giveaways.  If you are like me, you are finishing off those last few Christmas cards to give over the next few weeks. Here is my card I created with the Christmas Friends Stamp set.

First I created the background of the card front. I stamped the snowflakes from the Winter Wonderland Stamp Set on white card stock in a white pigment ink and embossed with white embossing powder. Next I used a blending tool to ink the background with distress ink. I cut the smaller circle in the Scalloped Circle Dies from kraft card stock. Inside the circle I stamped branches and a sentiment from the Holiday Greetings Stamp Set and added a few 4mm Gold Sequins and 3mm Clear Sparkling Sequins

The boy and girl are colored with Copic Markers and die cut with the Christmas Friends Coordinating Dies. The border is cut with one of the dies in the Stitched Borders 2 Die. I added a patterned paper below the border.

At this busy time of year I like to finish off the inside of my cards so that my cards are ready to go when I need them. I decided I wanted this card to hold a gift card. I used the Peekaboo Windows Die to create the pocket and stamped a sentiment from the Christmas Friends Stamp Set. Just remember when you adhere the inside panel to the inside of the card to leave the middle section open so that you can slide the gift card inside the pocket.

Thanks for stopping by! Be sure to stop by the Pretty Pink Posh  Blog for lots of inspiration and chance to win some great prized!
