Thanks for stopping by my blog today. As we head into mid August you can feel summer starting to wind down. The back to school supplies and dorm necessities are on the shelves at most stores. I created this card for someone who heading off to college.

I created the card with the Fly A Kite Stamp Set and Fly A Kite Coordinating Dies from Pretty Pink Posh.

To create the background I cut a strip of cardstock with the scalloped die in the Stitched Borders 2 Dies. to use as a mask to create the clouds. I used Distress Inks, starting with Peeled Paint and Mowed Lawn at the bottom and worked upward with Tumbled Glass and Broken China. 

Next I used the kite die and cut two kites directly into the card front and added foam tape behind the die cuts to form the shaker and dropped in sequins from the 4mm Fresh Garden Sequins Mix.  I colored three additional kites with Copic Markers. The sentiment is from the Fly A Kite Stamp Set.
