MFT's August Creative Challenge - Mini Albums

The MFT Design Team Creative Challenge is a monthly feature, where we are challenged to explore our creative side using a specific theme, product, or technique. This month, we were challenged to create a mini-book.  Be sure to check out the MFT Blog for a list of all participating designers who have put their MFT stamps and/or Die-namics dies to work to create a mini book for you today!

For the challenge I decided to create a mini album with some of my favorite pictures from my recent trip to Europe. The chipboard album I used as a base is from 7Gypsies, Naked Book. The display stand is also from 7Gypsies.

On the cover I used the Layered Rose and the Leafy Flourish Medium Die-namics and the Just the Ticket Die-namics and Stamp Set. I added a clock and the bird from my stash.

The first stop on our trip was London to visit my sister. On all my pages I used the Uppercase and Lowercase By the Letters Die-namics. I used Hearts A Plenty to cut my heart of of MFT Felt and added an MFT Button. My tag is cut with the Die-namics Traditional Tags STAX. I plan to add some journaling to the tag. The sentiment is cut out with the Perfect Bracket Die-namics. The sentiment is from the Inspired by Travel Stamp Set.

On the page for Rome I used the Notched Border Die and my sentiment is from Clearly Sentimental about Summer Vacation.

The sentiment is from the Behind The Camera Die-namics and Stamp Set. The border, cut from corrugated paper, is cut with the Simply Scallops Small Die-namics. I also added some rhinestone swirls.

On the top of each page I used the Die-namics Wonky Scallop Border. My flower is created with the Layered Rose and my ticket with the Die-namics Just the Ticket and Stamp Set

When we got to Munich we meet up with two of our daughters.  I created my sentitment at the top with the Behind the Camera Die-namics and Stamp Set. The sentiment is from All Smiles Stamp Set and cut out with one of the dies in the Die-namics Sentiment Strips.

Here the sentiment is from Clearly Sentimental About You. It seemed perfect since the picture at the top was taken at the John Lennon Wall in Praque. The sentiment is cut out with on of the dies in the Fishtail Flags STAX Die-namics.

Paris was our final stop. I used the Eiffel Tower Die-namics here. The sentiment is from Who's That Parisian Girl.

Thanks for stopping by! Be sure stop by the MFT Blog for links to all the designers sharing mini albums today. I am sure you will be inspired!!
