Hi Everyone! It's Day 3 of MFT May Teasers and today I have a card to share with you using Clearly Sentimental About Art and the new Artist Palette and Brush Die-namics.
Be sure to leave comments as you look around for a chance to with some teaser prizes. Each day two prize vouchers are held by two members of our design team. You’ll have all week to comment on each of the posts and all winners will be posted on Kim’s blog on Tuesday evening.
I just have to say I LOVE the new Artist Palette and Brush Die-namics! I just think it is so fun! My palette is mounted on a doily cut out with the larger die in the Oval Dainty Doily Duo Die-namics. My papers are from Websters pages and the sentiment is from the Clearly Sentimental About Art stamp set. I also added machine stitching and Bakers Twine in Maraschino Red.
Here is a closer look at the palette. The palette is cut from kraft cardstock. I colored the paints and the brush with my Copics and add red gel pen to the paint brush.
On the inside I stamped another sentiment from the set and added a few puddles of paint.

ReplyDeleteWhat an artistic beautify!
ReplyDeleteI just _love_ the way you matted the Artist Palette and Brush Die-namics with the Oval Dainty Doily Duo Die-namics in black cardstock. The dramatic contrast helps bring the palette to the forefront & really makes the paint splotches pop.
ReplyDeleteI also really like the way your colors look like a "work in progress," as if they are actually being mixed on the palette & weren't just squeezed from a tube... it's very realistic looking (in my limited experience, that's how most "real" artists actually paint, by combining their own colors).
Brilliant idea to put that black lacy oval behind your palette die cut.
ReplyDeleteWow! Love the papers & layout... gorgeous card!!
