For my card today I used Pia Puddingtop. She is colored with copics. I used green and gold stickles to add some bling, and a rhinestone on her hat and for the ornament. She is cut out with my nestibilitites. The DP is Basic Grey. I added lace, red ribbon with some sparkle, and a gold ribbon and bow. The sentiment is also from Stamping Bella.

Merry and Bright

Warm Christmas Wishes

This my first Christmas project for the year. It is hard to believe it is already September. You can feel fall in the air here today. We even got a little rain last night. With colder weather in mind, I made a Christmas card with a pocket for a gift card to a favorite coffee place. I find having a few little gifts can come in handy when the season gets busy!

My sketch for this card is this week's challenge at Get Sketchy. Great ideas and inspiration over there! The layout is perfect for a card that opens from the middle. The cute cup is from Stamping Bella. I colored with my copics and added small red rhinestones to the berries on the cup. I covered the panels with paper from Memory Box that I recently purchased at Cat's Craft Cupboard. I did a little sewing, added lace to the bottom, and used a SU paper punch to cut a slit to run my ribbon through.

On the inside I made a pocket for the gift card, added a little more sewing and a MS border punch.

Warm Christmas Wishes

A Sweet Halloween

This week is the first challenge at the new challenge site, Crazy 4 Challenges. If you stop by their blog you will see many familiar faces. Certainly some of my favorite stampers! This week is a sketch challenge sponsored by Stamping Bella. So I decided to pull out one of my favorite Stamping Bella stamps, Little Witchy. The sentiment is from one of the new Halloween set from My Favorite Things.

I colored her with my copics and added a little glitter pen. After doing a little shading around the image, I put dots of glue with a glue pen around the cat and the broom, and sprinkled on some glitter. I did a zig zag stitch around the edge of the card, added lace, a couple different ribbons, two rhinestones, and a button threaded with ribbon and tied in a bow.

A Sweet Halloween

A Special Girl

Well it is a beautiful Sunday morning here. I had hoped to spend the day in my stamp room but instead I have work to do for my real job. I don't usually have to work on the weekends but I have a few things that just need to get done. Last night I took a break and made this card based on Jen del Muro's Sketch For You to Try.

I just love this "Poppy Bittybloom" from Stamping Bella. The papers are from Basic Grey. The skirt and hat are paper pieced. The larger poppy is popped up and I added rhinestones to the center. I used my sewing machine to add a little stitching. The clear flower is Heidi Swapp and I added a polka dot button from my stash.

I had a busy stamping weekend. Can't help getting hooked on those challenges! This card is based on Taylor's weekend sketch. I just got this new basic grey Marrakech paper pad from Paper Addictions. Bright, rich colors! I used my Bella Cecily Cinnamonsticks, paper pieced the hat and apron, and added glitter to the wings. The charm is a SU brad that I added a rhinestone brad to.

Magical Birthday Wish

A Birthday Bella

Here's a little Bella birthday card I made using Taylor's sketch challenge. the is another one of my favorite Bella Stamps, Matilda Muffinbread. I wanted to give her skirt a varigrated look by pulling the Copic colors into each other. The paper and the matching buttons are Making Memories. I used my sewing machine, glitter to the wings, a little glitter pen to the skirt, and distressing stickles on the cupcake frosting to add detail. I also added a little lace I picked up at the fabric store.

A Birthday Bella

There's Cupcake on my Head!

Thought I would post a couple of cards before I go back to work. I justed finished cleaning up from the SuperBowl party. I had 20 people over and my daughter drove home from the University of Arizona with four of her girlfriends. A nice surprise!

I used Taylor's weekend sketch for this card. I love this little stamp from Stamping Bella. She is colored with my Copics and there is pink glitter on the cupcake. I used my nestibilities and inked the edges of the green and added white dots with my Inkssentials gel pen. The brads are SU, and I made one of the into a charm.
