Love You Muchly

Hi Everyone! Hope you had a great weekend. My two youngest daughters flew in from their colleges for the Thanksgiving holiday. So nice to have them home! I got in a little stamping today. When I saw the sketch challenge at Get Sketchy for this week, I thought it was the perfect inspiration for one of my new MFT Pure Innocence stamps, Flower Girl.

The image is stamped on a MFT Perfect Panel, colored with Copics, and cut out with nestibilities. I made a hill to fit the sketch, and used a zig zag stitch on the top of the hill and around the edges of the card. I covered the tree top with paper and used Copics to color the trunk, and added a few rhinestones on the tree and at the corners.

Here is a close up, with a little more detail. I just wanted to note that I didn't have the right colored rhinestones so I colored clear rhinestone with a BG13 copic marker.

Warm and Cozy Christmas

Well, I guess I have moved on from Halloween and Fall cards to cards for the Holiday season. I can't believe it is the middle of October and I know the rest of the year will fly by. The card I am posting today is based on the sketch challenge at Get Sketchy and the color combo is this week's challenge at Color Throwdown. I love these colors together!

This cute image is from Gina K. It is colored with copics, the hat and scarf are paper pieced, and I applied glitter with a glue pen to the snow. The pretty DP is from Memory Box and the edges are sponged with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Tea Dye. The border punch is Martha Stewart. Then I added lace to the bottom.

I always finish the inside of my cards but I don't usually post them. But I love how this sentiment goes so cute with the stamp!

Rain or Shine

I didn't have much time to stamp this weekend, but I did get this one card done. Isn't she the cutest. This is a MFT set, Rainy Days Friends, that I have had for a while, and hadn't inked up. The sketch is the sketch challenge at Get Sketchy, and guess who their sponsor is this week! My Favorite Things! Great sketch, one of my very favorite stamp companies, who could ask for more! This is also my card for the MFT challenge at Splitcoast this week, to use buttons.

The DP is Cosmo Crickett. I love this collection! I colored with copics and the rain coat is paper pieced. The buttons on the coat are mini brads from MFT. I cut out the umbrella, and popped it up, added a little glitter to look like rain drops. I stitched around the edges, added lace, a border punch, and a sentiment for the set. Then I made a border with buttons. I threaded each button, and then add the next button and used glue dots to hold them in place. I added a little distress ink around the edges.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a good week!

Warm Christmas Wishes

This my first Christmas project for the year. It is hard to believe it is already September. You can feel fall in the air here today. We even got a little rain last night. With colder weather in mind, I made a Christmas card with a pocket for a gift card to a favorite coffee place. I find having a few little gifts can come in handy when the season gets busy!

My sketch for this card is this week's challenge at Get Sketchy. Great ideas and inspiration over there! The layout is perfect for a card that opens from the middle. The cute cup is from Stamping Bella. I colored with my copics and added small red rhinestones to the berries on the cup. I covered the panels with paper from Memory Box that I recently purchased at Cat's Craft Cupboard. I did a little sewing, added lace to the bottom, and used a SU paper punch to cut a slit to run my ribbon through.

On the inside I made a pocket for the gift card, added a little more sewing and a MS border punch.

Melody

Tutu-rific!

I am so enjoying having a three day weekend and a little time to play in my stamp room. One of my friend's daughter will be turning four and she so loves her dance classes, so I made her a "tutu-rific" birthday card. The inspiration for the layout of my card comes from the Week 4 sketch challenge at Get Sketchy. I am really enjoying their sketches and they are giving away great prizes! I always love the pink, black and white color combo! And this week the My Favorite Challenge in the MFT forum at Splitcoaststampers is this use these MFT colors.

The stamp and sentiment is from the MFT set Isabelle Paper Dolls. I colored her with my copics, paper pieced the tutu and added a little glitter with a glitter pen. I drew in the wood floor and the ballet bar. I laid out the rest of my pieces and did a little sewing. I used a SU slot punch to run my ribbon through, added a charm, and used some great crochet lace at the bottom.

Thank You Card

I love my new Autumn Blessing stamp set from PaperTrey Ink. I love the elegance of the set and the sentiments that can be used year round. I am working on a set of thank you notes so I will be posting a few more cards with this set. I used the Get Sketchy layout for week three. I am really enjoying their sketches!

The mums are colored with copics, cut out with nestibilities, and I added some distressing ink around the edges. I used my labels die cut for the red background. I rounded all the corners, and added lace, ribbon, and a sentiment tied on with a little twine. The final touch was a few pearls at the corners.

Hope you had a good weekend. I has been nice to have some stamping time!

Indulge on Your Biirthday

One of my closest friend's birthday is this next week. So I decided to pull out one of my oldest stamps by Stampendous, one I still really enjoy using. Last week I mentioned a new sketch challenge site, Get Sketchy. Their first week was fun and a big success, so I used the sketch for my card is from Week 2. The bonus challenge is to use a punch.

With all the new CHA stuff arriving a my LSS, I had to pick up this new Bo Bunny paper. I just love the colors. My image is stamped with Memento Ink in Rich Cocoa, colored with my Copics and cut out with my nestibilities. I added Stickles in Scattered Straw to the frosting.

I added my paper, according to the sketch, which reminded me of quilting, so I added some stitching with my sewing machines. I did a light sponging to the edges of the paper with Tim Holtz Distressing Ink, in Tea Dye. I added lace and ribbon across the center. Then I used a punch for the flourishes, added color and some pearl rhinestones.

Birthday's Rock

There are so many challenges out there you could just spend all day doing nothing else! I sure enjoy joining new challenges; it is too bad my "real" job gets in the way! This cute birthday card is for two challenges. I recently ran across a new challenge blog that is just getting started, Get Sketchy. They are giving away prizes, always an added incentive! This card is based on their first sketch. The stamp is from MFT and is for Celebrate MFT Day, celebrated on the 20th of each month at the MFT forum at Splitcoaststampers.

The image is colored with copics. The center of the drum is pieced from some Bo Bunny DP and I added a rhinestone to the center. I used some glitter pen on the drum to add some sparkle. The curved piece in the sketch was a challenge for me! I cut the shape I decided to go with, ran it through my Cuttlebug, sponged the edges and the embossed flower with Tim Holtz Distressing Ink in Worn Lipstick, and then sewed on some lace edging. I did some zig zag stitching around the edges and some more sponging, added some rhinestones to the corners and my cute sentiment. Perfect a little girls birthday!
