Hex Effects!

It is the last Tuesday of the month and time for another Taylored Expressions Cardmaking Kit. Welcome Hex Effects! The Hex Effects kit is designed to make cardmaking simple with endless possibilities. Supplies are limited, so be sure to grab yours before they're gone.

I have two projects with the kit to share with you today.

To create my first card I used the Hex Effects Cutting Plate Die with the Hexagon Layering Stencil. I stenciled with Guava, Fruit Punch, Granny Smith, and Potato Chip Ink. Then I die cut the Hex Effect Cutting Plate Die from Sugar Cube Cardstock and layered the die cut over the stencil to create the card front.

To created the center hexagons I stamped the Polka Chic Background Stamp on Sugar Cube Cardstock with Versamark Ink and then embossed with TE White Embossing Folder, and then stenciled over the white embossing. I die cut the polka dot hexagons and used foam tape to inlay the die cuts back into the card front.

I used the Mini to Mighty Stamp Set - Valentine Stamp Set and Dies to add the sentiment to the center of the card.

On my second card I used a TE Maps - Hex Effects, that is included in the kit, to create the card front. I chose the map that reminded me of a quilt pattern. I used the Hex Effects Cutting Plate Die to die cut the patterned hexagons. I used Macaron, Kiwi, Blue Raspberry, and Potato Chip cardstock.

Then I followed the page map and glued the die cut hexagons to create the pattern. I used foam tape to attach the center yellow hexagons to add dimension. I added a heart that I die cut with the Dinky Decorations Die Set - Valentine and added a Bits & Pieces - Cookie Monster Glitter Drop.

This sentiment is from the Sew Many Wishes Stamp Set and die cut with the coordinating dies.

Happy crafting! Stop by the TE Blog for all the details and more inspiration from the team.
