Watercolor Blog Hop - Hello

Hi! I hope you are enjoying the weekend! I had a little time to make a card for the Watercolor Blog Hop that is being hosted by Pretty Pink Posh. Be sure to stop over at their blog for lots of inspiration! 




I love the soft, pretty look of watercolors. The watercoloring on my card is done with Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolors. I am just a beginning when it comes to watercoloring but I love the quality of these paints.


I started by creating the flowers with the Essentials by Ellen Clear Stamp Set, Bohemian Garden. I stamped the flowers on  Ranger Watercolor Paper in white ink and then embossing with white embossing powder. 

Next I cut out the flowers and the leaves with the Essentials by Ellen Designer Dies, Bohemian Garden. 


Next I created the pocket for the shaker portion of the card. I watercolored with soft yellow paint, let it dry, and then stamped a sentiment from the Essentials by Ellen Stamp Set, Mondo Magnolia. I dropped in a combination of pretty sequins for Pretty Pink Posh, and then added a piece of acetate between the card front and the card back. 

The final touch is two of my favorite stick pins from Maya Road, the Leaf Trinket Pins.
