Crazy 4 Challenges Week 3 - Hello!

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you are having a great weekend. I live in northern San Diego and it is a very uneasy feeling here with all the fires. One of my daughters had to evacuate her  apartment is is staying with us. It is suppose to cool off in the next few day so hopefully the end is in sight.

I am the month long Guest Designer over at Crazy 4 Challenges blog, and this week Barbara has give us a sketch to play with.

And here's my take on the sketch. To create the background pattern I used the Petal Circles Stencil and Sno Cone Ink. The Sour Apple Card Stock strip is cut with the largest die in the Vertical Stitched Strips Die-namics. Then I distressed the edges of the card stock and added machine stitching.

The flower is cut with the Upsy Daisy Die-namics and I added a button to the center in Banana Split. To added the stem and the leaves I drew the stem lightly with a pencil, and then pierced the holes to thread embroidery floss through.
The leaves are inlayed. I used the Royal Leaves Die-namics, cut them once directly into the oval card stock, then again from Gumdrop Green Card Stock, laying the green leaves in the die cut in the card stock.

You will notice that there is a pattern stamped on the oval. It is stamped with the Linen Background Stamp, with Sno Cone Ink on Sno Cone Card Stock.

On the inside I stamped a sentiment from the On the Line Stamp Set.

Here are the products I used on my card:
