Shabby Tea Room Guest Designer Week 5 - Big Dreams

Thanks for stopping by! I am starting off the week with my final project as the March Guest Designer for The Shabby Tea Room.  A big thank you to Debbie for asking me to join along with the challenges. So fun!

This week's challenge is to use the photo for inspiration and to use white/cream, pink, green, flowers and ribbon/lace.

And here is my take on the challenge. To create the pattern on the top portion of the card I used the Spring Flower Stencil and Pink Lemonade Ink. On the bottom half of the card I used the Stripes Stencil and a Light Molding Paste. Then I distressed the edges of the card stock.

The sentiment is from the Chalkboard Greetings Too Stamp Set, stamped in Whip Cream Ink and embossed with an off white embossing powder.

The sentiment is cut out with the Circle STAX Die-namics and matted with the Stitched Circle STAX Die-namics. The lace, ribbon, and flower are from my stash.

Be sure to stop by the The Shabby Tea Room for more inspiration. I hope you get a chance to play along.

MFTWSC169 - Hello

Hi and thanks for stopping by today. I hope you are having a good weekend. It is one of my daughter's birthday so we have a few celebrations going on.

Here is my card based on this week's MFT Sketch Challenge #169.

To create the fun background I used the Polka Dot Cover-Up Die-namics. The "hello" is cut with the Happy Hellos Die-namics and the flower is put together with the Upsy-Daisy and Layered Leaves Die-namcis.

The center shape is cut with the Layered Label Die-namics and the lace if from my stash.

On the inside I stamped a sentiment from the Grand Greetings Stamp Set.

Color Throwdown #285 - Easter Tags

Thanks for stopping by for Color Throwdown 285! Broni is hosting this weeks challenge! She has chosen pretty spring colors for us to work with this week.

A big thank to Gloria Stengel for joining us this month as the March Guest Designer. Loved all your inspiration!

I hope you get a chance to play along for a chance to be next week's Guest Star Stamper!

I used the colors in this week's challenge as inspiration for a set of tags for Easter.

For the base of each of my tags I used the Pierced Tradition and Traditional Tags STAX Die-namics. Each tag also uses the Easter Bunny Stamp Set and coordinating Easter Bunny Die-namics

The grass on my tags is cut with the Tall Grassy Edges Die-namics. To create the background pattern on this tag I used the Spring Flower Stencil and Pink Lemonade Ink

On this tag I used the Scallops Stencil for the background pattern, the Dainty Doily Duo and Dotted Scallop Border Trio Die-namics.

The doily on this tag is the Open Scallop Doily Duo Die-namics. You will find links to all the products I used on my tags below.

You do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge,  just use the closest you have.  Use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD285.  Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week!
