MFT's January Creative Challenge - Spell It Out

Thanks for stopping by for MFT's January Creative Challenge. This month's challenge is to Spell It Out!  Create custom sentiments or add personalization to your card, home-decor, 3-D gift or scrapbook page using alphabet dies or stamps.

Be sure to check out the MFT Blog for a list of all the designers who have a project to share with you today.

I have a couple projects to share with you today, a card and a scrapbook book page.

I started by stamping the background pattern with the Triangles Background Stamp on Sno Cone Card Stock with Berrylicious Ink. Then I cut a window in my card front with the Rectangle Stax Die-namics.

For the flower accent I used the Royal Rose, Rose Leaves, and Delicate Doilies Die-namics. I used the By the Letters Uppercase and By the Letters Die-namics to spell out Mom.

The pretty sentiment is from the Birthday Greetings Stamp Set.

On the inside I stamped another sentiment from the Birthday Greetings Stamp Set.

Next up is a scrapbook page using photo that makes me smile. The photo if of Lisa and friends on the beach on their last day together before they all starting heading off to college. The photo captures that moment in time before they all start "new chapters" in their lives.

To create the "A New Chapter" sentiment I used the Little Letters Die-namics. "Remember" is added with the Accent It - Story Titles Die-namics.

I used a stamped from the Document It - Captured Memories to added the "Captured Memories" sentiment, cutting it out with the File Tab Die-namics. The lower sentiment is from the Document It - Right This Way Stamp Set and stamped in Kraft Ink

The "Expand You View" sentiment is from the Document It - Expand Your View Stamp Set. I used the LLD Accent It - Story Starters Die-namics at the bottom of the page, and then hand drawing lines and adding some journaling.

So let's talk about the texture I added to the bottom of the page. The photo doesn't hardly do it justice, it is really pretty in person. I used the Scallop Stencil and Light Molding Paste. After the paste was dry I sponged on Ink in Sno Cone, Berrylicious, and Night Shift Blue.

Here are the products I used on my projects:
