MFT's February Creative Challenge - Clean and Simple

The MFT Design Team Creative Challenge is a monthly feature, where we are challenged to explore our creative side using a specific theme, product, or technique.
This month, we were challenged to create clean and simple projects - without the use of any pattern paper.
Be sure to check out the MFT Blog for a list of all participating designers who have a clean and simple project to share with you today.

If you have ever stopped by my blog you know I am not a Clean and Simple stamper! I find it hard to leave that white space even though I love the look! And then add the challenge of no pattern papers! I love my 6 x 6 paper pads!

I decided I wanted to make a set of coordinating cards that could be put together as a gift. I do like giving cards sets as gifts. People really seem to enjoy them. I include envelopes and sometimes postage stamps so that the cards are ready to be mailed.

I decide to go with black and white as my base and then add four different card stock colors and use their matching inks. I used the Dainty Doily Die-namics, the Circle STAX Die-namics,  and the Finishing Flourishes Stamp Set on all four cards. I used MFT Card Stock in Black Licorice for my card base and Sweet Tooth for my card front. I also used MFT Ink in Black Licorice to stamp the sentiments.

My first card uses Pink Lemonade Card Stock and the matching MFT Ink. I also used the Fishtail Flags STAX Die-namics. I used the LJD Spring Backgrounds Stamp Set to stamp the pattern.

This card used Grapesicle Card Stock, Grape Jelly Ink, and the Simply Scallops Medium Die-namics.  I used the LJD Spring Backgrounds Stamp Set to stamp the pattern here too.

This card used MFT Cardstock and Ink in Sour Apple. I also used the Die-namics LJD Bracket Edge Duo. The background is stamped with the LJD Distressed Diamonds Stamp Set.

The last card uses MFT Sno Cone Card Stock and Ink. The patterned background is stamped with the LJD Darling Dots Stamp Set and I used an embossing folder for the background.

I kept in inside of the cards simple, leaving room to write a note.

My last step for the set is a tag I created using the Die-namics Traditional Tags STAX, the Die-namics Mini Hybrid Heirloom Rose, and the Die-namics Mini Hybrid Heirloom Rose, and the Die-namics Royal Leaves. The flower is cut from MFT Felt in Bubblegum.

Here is the finished card set. I used a clear card box and MFT Ribbon in Black Licorice
