Taylored Expressions October Calendar Challenge


Welcome to the Taylored Expressions October Calendar Challenge!  Each month the members of the Baker's Dozen will be showcasing a page from a specific calendar product from Taylored Expressions! And YOU can play right along with us!

I will be using the Perpetual Calendar each month. The Perpetual Occasions calendar is the perfect solution for keeping track of birthdays, anniversaries, and other important occasions!! The calendar is printed on sturdy 100 lb. white cardstock with blank inserts separating each month. The blank inserts can be decorated any way you choose. If can be used year after year and it makes a wonderful gift.

For this month's calendar I am using the Up a Tree stamp set for my calendar. I stamped a few leaves on the list portion of the calendar. The leaf stamp is from the Autumn Wreath Stamp Set. My papers are from Simple Stories Harvest Lane. 


The image is colored with Copics and I used a sponge dauber to add little yellow ink to the background. I added two layers of grass with the Grass Border Die.


Here is a picture of the calendar before it is embellished. You can hang the calendar on the wall, or use on your desk, like I do. Since mine is laying on my desk I like to decorate the back page from the last month, but that is optional.

My August calendar page features Little Schoolhouse stamp set. The tree and school house are colored with Copics and cut out. My papers are from My Mind's Eye 6x6 Pad - School Daze. 


I added two rows of grass, cut with the Grass Border Die. The sentiment is from the stamp set.

This month I am using Coconut Cove for my calendar, a perfect stamp for the month of August! I added waves to the top portion using the Wave Border Die, and stamped flowers with a stamp from the set. My papers are from Echo Park Paradise.



I stamped the image on Choice Buttercream Paper in Memento Rich Cocoa, and colored with Copics. The background is sponged in yellow ink. I used a circle punch to create the sun and added a sentiment from the set.

 This month I am using Yankee Doodle Homestead for my calendar.


I colored the house with Copics and cut it out. I stamped the fireworks in yellow ink on navy blue cardstock and glued down the house. I cut out a fence with the Picket Fence Border Die out of corrugated paper. I added a sentiment from the stamp set and glitter pen to the stars.


My papers are from the 4th of July Project Pantry. I added stars cut with the Seeing Stars Die.

Today I am sharing my June Page with you. I am using the Lakeshore Cottage Stamp Set. My papers are from Simple Stories Summer Fresh.


These papers are SO perfect of the first month of summer. The sentiment is from the stamp set.


After coloring the images with Copics I cut out the house, the boat, and the water and glued then down to create my scene. I added yellow glitter pen to the windows and liquid pearls to the door knobs.

Taylored Expressions Calendar Challenge April

Today I am sharing my April Page with you. I am using the Spring Cottage Stamp Set. My papers are from Echo Park This n' That Graceful.


I colored my house and the tree with Copics and paper pieced the roof. My grass is cut with the Grass Border Die and my cloud are cut out with the smaller of the two clouds in the Cloud Duo die. I stamped a sentiment from the stamp set and a flower cut with the one of the dies in the Bugabee Flowers Die Set.


I added another flower and stamped two bunnies at the bottom of my page.

Taylored Expressions Calendar Challenge March

Welcome to the Taylored Expressions February Calendar Challenge!  Each month the members of the Baker's Dozen will be showcasing a page from a specific calendar product from Taylored Expressions!  I think this new monthly feature will be so fun! And YOU can play right along with us!

I am using the Desktop Calendar this month. The 2013 Desktop Calendar Inserts are available in the TE store along with the Desktop Calendar Case, so you get started now on gifts for next year!

To embellish my calendar I am using one of the stamps for the Spring Tulips Stamp Set. My top border is cut with the Medium Scallop Die and I added a button and twine.


I colored the image with my Copics and added some shading with Prism Colored Pencils.
