One Last Christmas Card!

It's Friday, two days before Christmas!! I went to Costco and the grocery store today so I think I am ready! And I made one last Christmas card for a special gift.

For inspiration I used this week's Challenge over that the Shabby Tea Room, 'A Kraft-y Christmas'. The challenge is to use kraft, red, silver, newsprint and star. I love the red and kraft together! My papers are October Afternoon, Holiday Style. I love the Christmas newsprint.

I created by wreath using Taylored Expressions Snowflake Wreath, Seasonal Wreath Die, and the Basic Bow Die. I added Taylor's Crystal Twinkles to the wreath and mounted it on a small kraft envelope.

I added silver twine and silver jingle bells along with a star stick pin.

When you pull the tag out of the envelope it looks like this. I used a sentiment and stamp from the Wreaths of Joy stamp set.

My project today uses the new Labels of Love II, which is a follow up to the popular Labels of Love. Labels of Love II is a new set of labels/frames and sentiments that cover almost every holiday throughout the year. This will be a great set for any stamper to add to their stamping arsenal. This will also make a great Christmas gift for your stamping friends! It is a set of 27 stamps and coordinates with Labels of Love and Spellbinders Ribbon Tags Trio 3 Dies.

The Labels of Love II is part of the TE Giving Tree program, designed to raise funds for a different charity each quarter. For the months of November, December and January, Taylored Expressions will donate $5 from the sale of each Labels of Love II stamp set to the Union Rescue Mission.

In part the URM's Mission Statement reads:

We embrace people experiencing homelessness with the compassion of Christ – giving hope and healing for a changed life – helping them find their way home.

By Embrace we mean to welcome, to encircle with our arms.
By Compassion we mean to love and touch others, as Christ loved us.
By Hope we mean providing encouragement and resources for a new start.
By Healing we mean being restored in body, mind, and spirit through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

By Home we mean having the opportunity to earn a living, secure housing, and be a healthy family again.

The Union Rescue Mission (URM) was founded in 1891 and is one of the largest missions of its kind in America--bringing help and hope to men, women, and children experiencing homelessness in Downtown Los Angeles. Taylor's husband, Jon, served at the Union Rescue Mission when they lived in California and saw first hand the impact it had on the lives of the homeless. My card used one the great sentiments and frames included in Label Of Love II Stamp set. I stamped the darling snowflake label, add the "Warm Wishes" sentiment and cut the frame out with the coordinating die from the Spellbinders Ribbon Tags Trio 3 Dies. I used Medium Scallop Border Die for my border.

I added ribbon, Doodle Bug Twine in Swimming pool, and some machine stitching.

I also made a tin to hold hot chocolate packages and some sweet treats using on of the Clear Top Hinged Tins from the TE store.

For my Release Day Project I am using Snow a la Carte and Banner Holiday along with the new Trim the Tree Die Set. My snowman is colored with Copics and I paper pieced the letters. I used Stickles for my snow.

I used one of the sentiments from Banner Holiday and cut it out with the Banner Day 2 Die. I think this sentiment is perfect with the snowman!

I love the new Trim the Tree Die Set!! Here I used dimensional dots to adhere my patterned paper parts of the tree to the tree base to add dimension to card. The scalloped border is cut with the Large Scallop Border Die. My papers are from Basic Grey Nordic Holiday.

On the inside I used the base of the tree and left room to write a note.

My card uses Wreaths of Joy, continuing our seasonal wreath series. For Christmas the stamp set will have two different wreaths. The seasonal wreath series was originally concepted by Jami Sibley.It is illustrated by Nancy McKinney for the Whimsical Wishes Line. Both wreaths coordinate with the Seasonal Wreath and Bow Dies.

I used the holly wreath for this card. I colored the wreath with copic markers and used the Seasonal Wreath die to cut it out. I added a bow with the Basic Bow Embossed Die. My scalloped border is done with the Large Scallop Border. My papers are from Echo Park Season's Greetings.

I added small rhinestones to my wreath from Taylors Multi-color Twinkles.
For my sentiment I used a sentiment from the new Banner Holiday. Banner Holiday is a new sentiment set that coordinates with the popular It’s a Banner Day 1,2,&3 sets. It was designed and illustrated by Taylor VanBruggen for the *te* collection. I used the Banner Day 1 die.

On the inside I stamped the bird and a sentiment that is included in the stamp set.

I am excited to share my card with you today!! Peaceful Poinsettias is such an elegant set! It gives you options for both open line and solid stamping to create beautiful layered poinsettias along with heartfelt sentiments. On my card today I used the opened line stamps and colored with Copic Markers. But I think the solid stamps, along with the coordinating dies would be perfect for a card that you could mass produce. The Poinsettia Taylored Die Set is a set of five dies, so easy to use, and such a beautiful effect!

On my card I added twine, gold rhinestones from Taylors Multi-color Twinkles, stitching, and one of the beautiful sentiments from the stamp set. The scalloped border is done with TE Medium Scallop Border die.

Here is a close up of the Poinsettia. You can see how I have four different layers, three different size flowers and the center of the flower. I think it is just SO pretty!

On the inside I stamped another great sentiment, perfect for the inside of a card and another Poinsettia. Here you can see the solid stamp poinsettia.

My first card uses Woodland Winter! This is such a fun stamp set with the cutest little critters to create the most wonderful Winter and holiday scenes! Plus the tree has a matching die! It is a full sized set on a 5.75" x 8.5" full color sturdy storage panel with 21 images and sentiments. It is illustrated by Doug Applegate for the Apple Doodle Ink Collection.

I love this little deer! I colored the image with Copic markers and added fun flock in white to the Santa hat. My papers and ribbon are from the new Holiday Wonder Project Pantry Kit that will be release on Thursday. I added one of the sentiments from the set to my card. I added red rhinestones to the wreath around his neck.

I used the new TE Trim the Tree Die to cut my tree. I am really excited about this die. I think I am going to use it to make my Christmas cards this year!! The stars are also included in the die set.

My next card uses Snow A la Carte, is the latest image to be added to the Word A la Carte collection which is illustrated by Nancy McKinney. For this card I used the second Project Pantry Kit being released this month, 12 Days.

I colored my snowman with Copics and paper pieced my letters. I added the snowflake using the TE Winter Wonderland Snowflake Die and added a rhinestone to the center. My bottom border is made with the Scalloped Eyelet Border Die.

I used Stickles to add snow and pink rhinestones button to my snowman. The ribbon is part of the kit.

I finished off the inside of my card by added the image of the stamped in brown ink and another snowflake. For my sentiment I used a sentiment from the new Banner Holiday. Banner Holiday is a new sentiment set that coordinates with the popular It’s a Banner Day 1,2,&3 sets. It was designed and illustrated by Taylor VanBruggen for the *te* collection.
