HI and thanks for stopping by! I hope you are enjoying your weekend. We are having strange, summer weather for us here in San Diego. It has been cool and raining. We were having people over for dinner and had to grill in the rain! But it does make for a nice afternoon in my studio! I got a chance to play along with Mona's Mixed Media Color Challenge.
Here is my card using these beautiful colors.
First I cut a piece of card stock for the face of the card and then added the pattern with the Petal Pattern Stencil and Liquitex Light Modeling Paste. After the paste had dried I added a coat of paint. When the paint had dried I sponged on Blu Raspberry Ink.
I stamped a sentiment from the Birthday Greeting Stamp Set in Blu Raspberry Ink, then cut it out with the Pierced Circle STAX.
I love to add texture to my projects. Here I used the Pretty Posies Die-namics to cut the flower from burlap, and the Leaf-Filled Flourish to cut the leaf accent from corrugated paper. I added a Whip Cream Button to the center of the flower and threaded the button with Hemp Cord.
On the inside I stamped another sentiment from the Birthday Greeting Stamp Set and stamped the flower with stamps from the Blooming Roses Stamp Set.
Here are the products I used on my card today:
beautiful, Melody. love the texture with those stencils and your burlap flower is lovely.
