Thanks for stopping by for another MFT Sketch
Challenge, MFTWSC133. You will have the chance to win up to $20 in MFT
money. Hope you have a chance to play along this week!
Using the sketch for inspiration, I came up with this birthday card for one of my nieces. To create the background pattern I used the LJD Darling Dots Stamp Set, using Pink Lemonade Ink on Pink Lemonade Card Stock.
I used the Postage Stamp STAX Die-namics to cut the frame for corrugated paper and the Fishtail Flags STAX Die-namics to add the banner.
I used the Big Numbers Dienamics for the "16". I cut the 1 and the 6 from a light weight chipboard, stamped the numbers with a layer of Versamark Embossing Ink, and then sprinkled on embossing powder, setting it with a heat gun. Love making my own chipboard embellishments! I used the Circle STAX 1 and Dainty Doily Duo to mat the number.
I used the Party Balloons and Party Balloons Die-namics to create the balloon. I used Hemp Cord for the balloon string. The finishing touch is a few sequins from my stash.
On the inside I stamped a sentiment from the Birthday Greetings Stamp Set.
Here are the products I used on my card:
