I am very excited to be here today with my first post as a member of the Bakers Dozen! My first card uses the new In The Clouds stamp set , the Cloud Border Die, and the Blimps & Banner Dies. This stamp set is just so cute and fun and all Taylor's stamps are from top quality deeply etched rubber in a cute shade of pink and come on EZ Mount already trimmed and ready to use with your acrylic blocks.
In the Clouds is illustrated by Nancy McKinney as part of the Whimsical Wishes line. For my card I stamped the blimps , colored them with Copics and cut them out with the blimp dies. I used one of the banner dies that I cut from my DP and stamped one of the sentiments included in the set.
For my clouds I cut out two borders with the Cloud Border Die, ran them though my Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dot Embossing Folder, and then I sponged ink on the edges of the clouds.
I stamped the hearts from the stamp set behind the smaller blimp. My papers are from Mind's Eye Lime Twist Fly a Kite. I added some machine stitching and twine to finish off my card.
My next card uses Life is Circus and the Star Border Die. Life is a Circus is illustrated by Doug Applegate for the Apple Doodle Ink line. Life is a Circus is a full sized set on a 5.75" x 8.5" full color sturdy storage panel and includes 17 images.
I colored my lion with Copics and cut him out. I stamped the tent and then paper pieced the it. The inside of the tent is colored with Copics and I sponged the background. .
My lion is popped up with dimensional dots. I stamped the ticket stamp from the set and cut it out.
I added one of the sentiments from the set, colored it with Copics and cut it out with a circle punch. The sentiments in this set give you lots of options for both kid and adult cards. My paper area from Echo Park Dots & Stripes Metropolitan Collection.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you'll pop around to all of the amazing Baker's Dozen blogs and check out all of the sneak peeks with the new stamp sets! I will be back tomorrow with more previews of July's stamp sets.
