Hi and thanks for stopping by today! It is day 6 of MFT's September Teasers. I have two school themed stamp sets, LLD Document It - School Days, Journal It - Head of the Class, and two new Die-namics, LLD Border It - Numbers, Accent It - School Days to share with you.
Be sure to head over to the MFT Blog for full set and die reveals for the day and the list of designers sharing projects.
First I have to say that I cannot take of credit for some of the ideas I used on my scrapbook page. I recently took at class at my local scrapbook store from Janine Koczwara. I don't take classes often, but this one caught my eye, and I have to say I learned a number of new techniques for a great teacher.
I started by using the Notebook Edge Die-namics here and there around the outside of the page. (I used a friend's Big Shot Pro for this.) Then I distressed the edges of the paper and then sponged on Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Olive and Black Soot. Then I added pieces of doilies with the Dainty Doily Die-namics, that just peek out around the edges.
I created the notebook paper with the Insert It - 3x4 Notepad Die-namics and the lines are stamped with Sno Cone Ink with one of the stamps in Journal It - Head of the Class. The labels are also from the Journal It - Head of the Class Stamp Set and cut out with dies from the Accent It - Flags & Tags Die-namics.
The books are stamped with one of the stamps in the LLD Document It - School Days Stamp Set and cut out with a coordinating die in the Accent It - School Days Die-namics. The flower is created with the Mini Hybrid Heirloom Rose Die-namics.
The "A+" is also stamped with one of the stamps in the LLD Document It - School Days Stamp Set and cut out with a coordinating die in the Accent It - School Days Die-namics. I added a tag that just peeks out, cut with the Tag, You're It Die-namics.
This embellishment is created with the new LLD Border It - Numbers Die-namics. So Cute! Here is a little closer look at the checkerboard pattern I added with the new Checkerboard Stencil.
All the patterned papers are from a new Prima line, School Memories.
