Color Throwdown 257 - Keeping It Reel

Hi and thanks for stopping by today! It Wednesday so that means it's time for a new Color Throwdown Challenge. It's Lori's turn to host and she's got bright and fun color combo for us to work with this week.

Here is my scrapbook page based on the color challenge. The picture is of my two youngest daughters and two of their cousins.

I started by white washing the center of my page with Tim Holtz Pickett Fence Paint. Once the paint dried I stitched the patterned paper to a sheet of 12 x 12 white card stock.

In the top corner I added the reel, cut with the LLD Accent It - Reel Life Die-namics, and added a button to the center. I added the flags with small sentiments from the Document It - Off the Chart Stamp Set and the Mini Wavy Pennants Die-namics.

The sentiment is from the Document It - Expand Your View Stamp Set. The sentiment is cut out with one the the arrows in the Lead the Way Die-namics.

The scalloped border is cut with the Jumbo Scallop Border Die-namics.  I used the Paper Doll Girl Die-namics to added the border and few MFT Buttons.

I hope you get a chance to play along!

You do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge,  just use the closest you have.  Use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD257.  Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week!

  2. I saw this page at the Color Throwdown and had to tell how gorgeous the page is but it doesn't detract from the beauty of the girls in the photo.
Your MFT pages are great too.
I love that you make gorgeous pages, and while I want to ooh and aah over the design elements I still see the photos.

  4. I love this page. This is absolutely perfect. I love the paper dolls! I have never seen any purpose for those darn paper dolls until now! I have a gazillion pictures of my daughter with her friends throughout her life just like this one and I never thought to use those darn paper dolls until now! You rock Melody, you rock!
