MFT's August Teasers Day 2 - Time to be Creative

Thanks for stopping by for Day 2 of MFT's August Teasers! I have a small, altered shadow box  to share today using the new Mona Pendleton's new stamp set, Timeless and the coordinating Die-namics, Time Pieces

Be sure to head over to the MFT Blog for full set and die reveals for the day and the list of designers sharing projects.

I've had this small shadow box in my stash for ages. When I saw the sentiment "Time to be Creative, I knew I wanted to make something for my studio. I love how it came out and can't wait to hang it up!

I just love the clocks in the stamp set. I cut the face of the clock and the the gears with dies in the Time Pieces Die-namics from a light weight chipboard. The face of the clock is heat embossed with embossing enamel. I cut the gears from card stock, adhered them to the chipboard, and then added a layer of MFT Glitter Glaze.

The roses are cut with the Royal Rose and Mini Royal Roses Die-namics. The leaves are cut with the Royal Leaves Die-namics from MFT Felt in Sour Apple.

The I added some other embellishments from my stash.

Here is a closer look at the smaller inserts. The small doily is cut with a doily in the Mini Doily Circles. The word "HAPPY" is from the Document It - Off the Chart Stamp Set. And the black spool and scissors are cut with dies in the Sew Nifty Die-namics.

The dress form is also created with a die from the Sew Nifty Die-namics, cut from light weight chipboard, and embossed with embossing enamel.

Here are the details about the upcoming release:
  • You can attend the New Release Party on August 9th from 8-10 PM EST HERE in the MFT forum.

  1. This is just spectacular! I've eyed these cases many times while shopping in local craft store but was always stumped as to what one could really do with them as they are quite shallow. You've inspired me with the amazing job you've done on this.

  30. Melody, I am behind in reviewing emails and the new release blog hop and I saw Julie's shadow box and I absolutely fell in love and told her I was going to make one for 7 particular friends (not that kind of particular friend!); I thought I'd use all the time pieces and different colors and now you've opened up my eyes a bit to a whole different kind of personalization for people! This is a wonderful design team, you are all the best! Thank you!
