Warm Wishes

I hope everyone is have a nice weekend. I just got back from a wedding at a winery on top of a hill with absolutely beautiful views! I have not had much time to stamp this week, but here is the card I made for the sketch challenge this week at Priscillastyles.

The stamp is from Whiff of Joy. I think I purchased her last winter but this is the first time I inked her up. I colored her with my copics and added small rhinestone to her pants. The paper is Basic Grey. I did a zig zag stitch around the edges of each panel and added holly leaves and rhine stones.

I hope to spend tomorrow in my stamp room. I love a lazy Sunday!

Warm Wishes

Thinking of You

I don't have much creative time during the week, but this my card I have spent a little time on each night this week. The sketch is this week's challenge at Priscillastyles. Be sure to stop by Priscilla's blog and check out another one of her amazing blog candies! The deep, rich colors are the color challenge at Jacksonbelle Embellishments, to use red, green, blue and black. My Graphic 45 papers were perfect for this color challenge! The sweet stamp is Stampavie's Elodie in her Garden that I recently purchased at Jacksonbelle.

The sweet image is colored with Copics and I added a little glitter pen here and there. I notched the corners and added black rhinestones. I tied on ribbon with sunflower charm. The red glitter heart was white but I colored it with my Copics. I also used Tim Holtz Distressing Ink in Peeled Paint and Tea Dye.

Thinking of You

A Sweet Christmas Angel

This is my Sarah Kay stamp, Noel Peace, from Stampavie. Isn't she the cutest!!! I purchased her from Jacksonbelle Embellishments. I have placed two orders through them now and I have to say they have incredible customer service. I received my order just days after it was placed!

I used the sketch from this week's challenge at Priscilla's Styles. Her challenges are definitely a CHALLENGE, but I am happy with my sweet card! I colored with my Copics. The shading is already done for you on the stamps, so easy to follow! I drew in the wood floor, added rhinestones and green Stickles to highlight the wreath in her hair. It may be hard to tell in the photo, but there are diamond Stickles on the wings, halo, and star. The DP is new Making Memories and the middle panel is embossed with a Cuttlebug folder. A little decorative lace and pretty ribbon that follows the sketch, and she ready to go in the Christmas card stack!

A Sweet Christmas Angel

Friendship Has Its Perks

Hi All! So happy it is the weekend! Nice to a have a little free time. My project today incorporates two challenges. The card is inspired by the sketch challenge at Priscillastyles, Midnight Madness sketch #18. This layout was definitely a challenge for me! Getting all those brads lined up!! If you haven't visited Priscilla's blog, you need to stop by. The blog candy is AMAZING!

The second challenge is the My Favorite Challenge in the MFT forum at Splitcoaststampers. This week's challenges is to use metal on your project. I used metal brads and a metal charm.

I am absolutely loving this new set, Coffee? Tea?, from My Favorite Things. The dress is paper pieced and I cut out and popped up the sleeve for some dimension. I colored with Copics and added shading with BG000 about the image and Tim Holtz distressing ink in Tea Dye around the edges. I pulled out a ruler and did a little math to get the brads to line up right. Then I wrapped twine around the brads twice. I added crocheted lace up the middle, and tied on a beautiful charm at the bottom. I did zig zag around the edges with my sewing machine. Tough sketch challenge, but I will say I am very pleased with the final product!

I needed a small thank you for a friend, so I put some of her favorite tea in a clear bag. I made the topper with my nestibilities. I made the tag with the same stamp set. The set come with three adorable cups. I used the plain one and did a little paper piecing. The sentiment is also from the set. These beautiful papers are new by Memory Box, which I purchased from Cat at Cat's Craft Cupboard.

Friendship Has Its Perks

A Halloween BOO!

It is hard to believe that is it already September. My goal is to have about 10 cards and treats ready to go for Halloween. This project is set number three. For inspiration, I used the Midnight Madness sketch challenge at at Priscillastyles. There is a lot going on Priscilla's blog!

The cute little witch on this card is from Crafty Secrets. I stamped her in Memento Black, and colored her with my copics. I used a glitter pen on the stars on her hat and a Sakura black glaze pen on her shoes. Following the sketch, I wrapped ribbon around the card, and hung a pumpkin charm with a jump ring. The opposite corners are done with a SU punch. I added black lace and rhinestones in the corners.

I love the glassine bags from PaperTrey Ink! I filled it with a few sweets, and attached the topper. The topper is cut with my nestibilities. The shoe and sentiment are from the same set as the witch, punched out with SU punches, and attached with ribbon.

A Halloween BOO!

A Lilac Thank You

As we all know, there are so many challenges out there! For weeks I have been wanting to give the sketch challenges over at Priscilla Styles a try. My real job has finally calmed down enough that I had a chance to take one on! Priscilla has fabulous sketches and blog candy you will not believe. You will need to take a look!

This is my take on MMSC16. I struggled a little with the sketch, but I am very happy with the outcome. The lilac stamp is by Lockhart. I colored it with my copics and cut it out with my nestibilities. The papers are Basic Grey. I did a zig zag stitch around the edges of the card and the two back panels. Then I added pearls, flowers, lace, ribbon and a sentiment from Papertrey Ink Autumn Blessing.

My tip: The pearls were a little too white for the paper. I used a Copic Marker, E53, to color the pearls to more of an ivory color.
