Pretty Tulips

Hi! The March Release from Papertrey Ink is now available! Today I am sharing a mini slim card I created with the new Into the Blooms Tulips.

These tulips feel like spring! I cut all the parts for the tulips from white cardstock and used blender brushes to blend the ink. For the pinks I used Scarlet Jewel, Hibiscus Burst, Autumn Rose, Sweet Blush. For the yellows I blended Lemon Tart and Summer Sunrise inks and for the leaves Spring Moss and Simply Chartreuse.

Next I assembled the flowers, using foam dots to pop up a few of the parts of the tulips. The last step is to sprite the flowers with water.

To create the background I cut a piece of Sweet Blush cardstock to fit the card front and stenciled with the Hexagon Stencil Collection and Sweet Blush Ink. Next I die cut the panel with the beautiful new Elegant Edges: Lace Die. There are numerous way to use these dies.

The sentiment is from the new Just Sentiments: Quotes Mini Stamp Set. I stamped in Versamark Ink and embossed with black embossing powder.
