A Pretty Birthday Cake

I am popping in at the last minute to share my take on the February SFYTT Sketch Challenge over at the Reverse Confetti Blog. The was my first chance to ink up the Candles ‘n Confetti Stamp Set. I think this cake is so pretty!

The background paper is from the True Love 6 x 6 Pad. Next I added a panel of vellum cut with the Lacy Scallop Frame Confetti Cuts. I stamped the cake and the stand on white cardstock with a white pigment ink and embossed with white embossing powder.

I lightly sponged ink on the cake and the stand. My cake is die cut with the Candles n' Confetti Cuts. The "happy" sentiment is from the With Love Stamp Set and "birthday" is die cut with the Fancy Words Confetti Cuts.

Happy Birthday Shaker Card

Hi and thanks for stopping by! I am playing with some spring colors today for a sweet birthday card with some products from Pretty Pink Posh. Shaker cards are always fun and these dies and sequins make them easy to put together!

To create the shaker portion of the card I used the Storybook 5 Die. First I cut the die from pink cardstock. Behind the frame I added a piece of acetate, then a layer of foam tape., and then I dropped in the sequins. The final layer behind the frame is watercolor paper that I sponged with pink and yellow distress ink. My mix of sequins includes 4MM Sparkling Clear Sequins6MM Sparkling Clear Sequins4mm Fairytale Fuchsia Sequins6mm Ballerina Pink Sequins, Share Kindness Sequins Mix, and Iridescent Mini Star Confetti.

I used a mix of stamps sets to add the details to my card. The sweet bunny, bow, and leaves are from the Holiday Pals Stamp Set and die cut with the Holiday Pals Coordinating Dies.  This stamp set was released as a holiday set but I love that I can use many of the stamps in the set throughout the year! The present is from the Christmas Friends Stamp Set, the sentiment is from the Fox Friends Stamp Set, and the heart is die cut with the Fox Friends Coordinating Dies

And mark your calendars! The new Pretty Pink Posh release is coming on March 1st!!

Sweet Birthday Tag

Hi Everyone! I am playing along with the Tag You're It! Challenge today. I love making tags and like to have them in my stash ready to go. I created the tag with products from Pretty Pink Posh.

The sweet fox, sign, and sentiment are from the Fox Friends Stamp Set, die cut with the Fox Friends Coordinating Dies, and colored with Copic Markers. I paper pieced the sign.

The grass is cut from watercolor paper and die cut with the Scallop Borders Dies, and the color added with distress inks in Shabby Shutters and Peeled Paint. The heart die is included in the Fox Friends Coordinating Dies. I finished off the tag with a few clear sequins from the Sparkling Clear Sequins Mix

You can find all the dies and stamps I used to create by tag at Pretty Pink Posh. Stop by and check out the one day sale!

I'm So Excited I Could Explode!

Hi and thanks for stopping by today! I am settling in to enjoy a Friday in my studio! We are getting lots of rain today and I looking forward to a creative day at home!!

Today I wanted to pop in and share a birthday card I created for someone special.

I started by creating the frame with the Up, Up, & Away Cutting Plate. This cutting plate cuts the frame and includes balloon dies so you can use to add pattern and color to your balloons. My larger balloons are cut with these dies. I cut the balloons for Sugar Cube Cardstock and added color with distress inks.

The smaller, patterned paper balloons are cut with Little Bits - Balloon Die. The stamped balloon and sentiment is from the If Balloons Could Talk Stamp and Die Set. Behind the frame I added Cupcake cardstock embossed with the Sprinkles Embossing Folder, and finished off with a few clear sequins.

Thanks for looking!

It's Release Day at Taylored Expressions - Welcome Spring!!

It's release day at Taylored Expressions! All the new February products are available at the TE web store NOW.  I have two cards to share today showcasing a number of the new products.

My first card features the new Peek-a-Boo Easter Stamp Set and coordinating dies.

I started by embossing Cupcake Card Stock with the Confetti Embossing Folder for the card front. Next I cut a panel of Sugar Cube Card Stock with the Stitched Rectangle Stacklets. I brushed on Granny Smith and Cupcake Ink and splattered a little watercolor paint from the Kuretake Gansai Tambi Paints.

The sweet image is colored with Copic Markers. The sentiment is included in the stamp set. I added the borders at the top with the Skinny Mini Party Borders.

My second card features the Simply Said Spring Stamp Set and the new Spring Florals Stamp Set and coordinating  dies. I used the new Lattice Cutting Plate to create the background. Love this cutting plate! I stamped the sentiment from Simply Said Spring in Toffee Ink.

I created the wreath with the Spring Florals Stamp Set and die cut with the coordinating Spring Floral Dies. I add a few of the new Enamel Shapes and tied the wreath to the top of the lattice work with twine.
