Taylored Expressions September Release - Simply Stamped - Sunflowers

 It's release day at Taylored Expressions!! All the new September products are now available at the TE web store NOW!

Today I have a couple of cards to share using the new Simply Stamped - Sunflowers Stamp Set and the coordinating Simply Stamped Dies.


I started by creating the background for the card. I used the new Graphic Impressions – Birthday Embossing Folder with a piece of vellum. Behind the vellum I added a piece of Salt Water Taffy Card Stock. 

Next I cut a tag with the Tag Stacklets 2 Dies  and a hill with the Rolling Hills Dies from water color paper and used water paints to create the background. 


The flowers are stamped with three different stamps each, layering a pale yellow ink, then a darker yellow, and then a brown ink. After die cutting the flowers and the stems I added Stickles to the center of the sunflowers.


Here is my second card with the stamp set and dies. I love this sentiment from the Simply Stamped - Sunflower Stamp Set.

On this card I used the Dotted Lattice Embossing Folder for the background pattern and added a piece of burlap across the center of the card. I stamped the flowers in the same manner as the first card except that here I embossed the centers with a brown embossing powder.


The leaves that are stamped and die cut are from the Simply Stamped - Sunflowers Stamp Set and Dies. The other leaves are die cut with the new Bloomers Greenery Dies.

    Both are fabulous Melody but I have to say the second is Extra fabulous!! I love the sunflowers and the embossing to go with them!!
