MFTWSC206 - Merry & Bright

Thanks for stopping by today! I am playing along with this week's MFT's Wednesday Sketch Challenge,  MFTWSC206All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT blog. I hope you get a chance to play along!

Here is my take on the sketch as I finish off a few last Christmas cards.

I was inspired to use a neutral color theme with a pop of gold. I used the Herringbone Bricks Stencil and Natural Premium Dye Ink to add pattern to the card front. Then added the scallop edge with the Stitched Scallop Border Die-namics. The music pattern is stamped with the Sheet Music Background Stamp.

The sentiment is from the Cheerful Christmas Greetings Stamp Set, stamped in gold ink and embossed with gold embossing powder.

Down the center of my card I added a vellum banner with the Stitched Fishtail Flag Die-namics. The flower is created with Whip Cream Felt and the Mini Hybrid Heirloom Rose Die-namics, the leaves with the Leaf-Filled Flourish Die-namics.

I added machine stitching with DMC Metallic Embroidery Thread in Gold.

On the inside I stamped another sentiment from the Cheerful Christmas Greetings Stamp Set.

Here are the links to the products I used to create my card:
