Thanks for stopping by for MFT's October Creative Challenge. Our line of Die-namics cuts such a wide variety of materials. This month, we’ve asked the team to put them to use with the cork sheets we offer to craft cards and projects you’ll want to stick a pin in for inspiration you'll return to over and over.
Be sure to stop by the MFT Blog for the list of designers sharing projects.
On my first card I used the Polka Dot Cover-Up Die-namics to cut a cork sheet to create the background for my card. The cork sheets cut so easily and clean and add a wonderful warmth and texture to any project.
The sentiment is from the Christmas Labels and Tags Stamp Set, stamping Whip Cream Ink on Wild Cherry Card Stock.
The flower is created with the Poinsettia Die-namics and mounted on a circle cut with the Pierced Circle Die-namics. I also added a few gold sequins from my stash.
On the inside I stamped a sentiment from the Merry Messages Stamp Set, added a place for a gift card with the Gift Card Grooves Die-namics, and stamped the background with the Confetti Background Stamp.
Here's a look at my second project. Not only is the cork easy to to cut you can stamp and sponge ink directly on the cork. I cut the cork flourish with the Leaf-Filled Flourish Die-namics and sponged ink on the edges of the leaves. I stamped a sentiment from the Birthday Greetings Stamp Set directly on the cork with Chocolate Brown Hybrid Ink.
The background on the card is sponged with the Herringbone Bricks Stencil and Natural Premium Dye Ink on Primitive Cream Card Stock. My circles are cut with the Stitchable Dot Circle STAX Die-namics, laced with floss, the Pierced Circle and Circle 1 STAX Die-namics.
The flower is created with the Mini Hybrid Heirloom Rose Die-namics and Whip Cream Felt.
On the inside I stamped another sentiment from the a sentiment from the Birthday Greetings Stamp Set.
