CTD288 - Lucky Me

Thanks for stopping by for Color Throwdown 288! It my turn to host this weeks challenge! I have chosen this pretty backyard photo for inspiration for out challenge this week.
I hope you get a chance to play along for a chance to be next week's Guest Star Stamper!

And here is my scrapbook page using this week's colors.

Inspiration for my layout comes from this month sketch challenge at Once Upon a Sketch.

I started by distressing and inking the edges of my background paper. I added little peeks of lace under a few of the distressed portions. Then I used the Delicate Doily Stencil and Light Molding Paste to add texture in the background.

Here's a closer look at the top corner. I used the File Tab Die-namics and added the sentiment with stamps from the Document It - Off the Chart Stamp Set. The little heart is cut with the smallest die in the Heart STAX Die-namics.

The doilies are cut with the Dainty Doily Duo and the Mini Doily Circles Die-namics. I used a combination of the Royal Rose and Layered Leaves Die-namics to create the flower embellishment.

My patterned paper is from Authentique.

I created the journaling card with dies in the Blueprints 14 Die-namics. The "Lucky me!" sentiment is from Complimentary Greetings Stamp Set.

You do not have to have the exact colors to play the Color Throwdown challenge,  just use the closest you have.  Use the link service to post your card and please link directly to your card so we can find it easily. And please include a link in your post to the Color Throwdown. If you upload your card to a public forum, please use the keyword CTD288.  Be sure to check out what the other team members have come up with this week!
