Taylored Expressions October Sneak Peek Day 2

Welcome to Day 2 of Taylored Expressions October Sneak Peeks. This is a really fun holiday release and all of the new products will be available for purchase on Thursday, October 4th at 8 am PST. You'll find it all in the Fresh out of the Oven Department at the Taylored Expressions Store.

I am really excited to share my project with you today! I created a fun advent calendar with the new Christmas Countdown Stamp Set,  a full size set of 34,  designed for advent calendar projects of all types.

I even staged some Christmas garland on my fireplace so that you could get the full picture of what I had in mind. At Christmas I will add little white lights to the mix!

If your fireplace doesn't work for this, the little bags look adorable strung across a window too.

I started with 24 Little Bitty Bags - Kraft Assortment and one of this month Project Pantry Kits, Homemade Holiday.

I chose five different inks to coordinate with the paper and stamped the numbers 1 - 24, and then I punched each number out with a circle punch. I went through my stash and collected Holiday embellishments and cut out lots of die images for this months release and previous holiday releases. Then the fun began!

Here I used the Trim the Tree Die Set and cut my tree from Taylored Felt in Grass Green, one of the dies in the Totally Tags Dies Set, and the snowflake is cut with the new Make a Snowflake, a set of six snowflakes.

The number four is layered on the Layering Doily Small Die. I used this die throughout the calendar. Notice that cute little stocking? This is from another new stamp set being released this month, Very Merry and the coordinating dies, Very Merry Outlines & Very Merry Scallops. My scalloped border on the "6" bag is cut with the Medium Scallop Border Die.

The cute, little mittens are also from the Very Merry Stamp Set. I used the new Poster Graphic Alpha Die Set to make JOY and HO HO. That cute tag that hangs on the 9 bag is cut with on of the dies in the Mini Tag Die Set and the sentiment is from a new stamp set, Many Minis - Holiday. This set will allow you to create mini tags for pretty much every holiday.

The candy cane is another image in the Very Merry stamp set. The sentiment if from Christmas Countdown stamp set.

Here I added jingle bells, more snowflakes, and buttons and twine.

Here I used more of the dies from the Very Merry Outlines & Very Merry Scallops Die Sets, the holly leaves, cut from felt, and the ornaments. The number 20 is adhered to a label cut with the new Label Stacklets 1 Die set.

Here are the last four, more button and rhinestones.

My clothes pins were purchased at Michaels. I sponged Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Vintage Photo on the pins. I strung Bakers Twine through the garland and used the clothes pins to hang the bags from the twine. I had a lot fun with this project!

Hope you can join us as a fan on Facebook for an early peek at the stamp sets, as well as a SPECIAL Facebook GIVEAWAY, on Wednesday night beginning at approximately 6 pm PST.

Thanks for stopping by. I will be back tomorrow with another sneak peek. For more inspiration stop by each of the Design Team's Blogs today!
