MFT September Teasers Day 2

Hi Everyone!! It's day 2 of MFT's September Teasers! Today the design team is sharing projects with Inspired by Flowers. This is the third set in the Inspired by Flowers collection. You can stop by Kim's blog of the list of designers sharing project today.

This is one of the three new flowers included in the stamp set. The flowers stamp with such detail and the shading is done for you, making the flowers so easy to color. I colored with Copics and sponged the background. Then I stamped one of the beautiful sentiments included in the set.

My papers are Authentique - Splendid 6x6 Bundle. I used the Simply Scallop Large Die for my borders, and added pearls, stitching, twine and a wooden button.

On the inside I stamped another sentiment and the flower from the stamp set.

Today I have another Halloween Project to share with you. I am using the Spooky Project Pantry kit and  Spooky A la Carte, just one of the A la Crate words this month and designed by Nancy McKinney.

I created another card and treat box combo! I am going to be ready to go on October 31st! My papers and ribbon are part of the Spooky Project Pantry.

I stamped Spooky in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with Copics. I cut the sentiment into a long rectangle shape and punched slits at each end to run my ribbon through.

I used the Take Note Die 3 behind the sentiment and added two orange rhinestones. At the bottom I added a cute fence cut with the new Spooky Fence Border Die.

Then I created a little treat holder to coordinate with my card using one of the die cut favor boxes from the Taylored Expression Store. I used the Spooky Al a Carte stamp again, paper and ribbon from the Spooky Project Pantry and twine and a button from my stash.

Tomorrow is release day!! I will be back with a "fall" project! Be sure to stop by all the designer's blogs today for lots of inspiration!

MFT September Teaser Day 1

Hi Everyone!! MFT's September Teases start today! New stamps, new fun, creative Die-namics! Today the design team is sharing fun projects with WTG Who's that Mummy?. You can stop by Kim's blog of the list of designers sharing project today.

I love having Halloween treat holders ready to go as the season approaches. This is a quick and easy treat holder! I used a small paint can, filled it with candy, and wrapped the fence around the can. The fence is cut with the new Woodgrain Fence Die. It is hard to tell in the picture, but a woodgrain is embossed on the fence when you run it through your die cutter.

I cut the tag using the Tag, You're It Die-namic. She is stamped in black ink and colored with Copics. I added a sentiment from the stamp set.

To attach my tag to the paint can I tore a strip of muslin and sponged on distressing ink. I also added a bow with Bakers Twine in Charcoal. Speaking of tearing, be sure to stop by the MFT Forum at SCS for all the details on this month's Guest Designer Challenge, Rip and Roll!

Today's sneak peeks are all about Halloween and Fall, one of my favorite times of year. My project used the new stamp set Toil & Trouble, the Spooky Impression Plate, and Spooky Project Pantry.
Toil & Trouble is a super cute Halloween décor set. It works great for decorating the Apothecary Shelf, I used on my card!  Toil and Trouble is part of the Whimsical Wishes collection by Nancy McKinney and is a  full sized set on a 5.75" x 8.5" full color sturdy storage panel. It includes  includes 25 images/sentiments.

My Halloween Treat Set is made with papers and ribbons from the Spooky Project Panty Kit.

Taylor is doing something a little different this month with the Project Pantry. As you know, the idea behind the Project Pantry is that when you want to bake up a yummy dessert you head to your pantry for the ingredients. When you want to create a sweet papercrafting project, you can head to our Project Pantry for all the coordinating elements. We've found that some of the best cake and cookie recipes are the ones based around a basic batter or dough recipe with lots of options to spice it up according to your tastes. This month we are offering our Basic Recipe Kit along with optional Spice It Up Ingredients that you can pick and choose from to build the kit just the way you want it.

The Spooky Project Pantry Basic Recipe Kit is $11.95 and includes:

Echo Park Apothecary Emporium 6x6 pad
10 sheets of 8.5" x 11" cardstock in coordinating colors
6 yards of ribbon (2 yards each of 3 different styles)

Optional Spice it Up Ingredients (choose any or all) are:

Black Sparkly Fluff
Black/White Enamel Accents
Orange Rhinestones
Black Pearls
Halloween Button Assortment
Spooky Cardstock Pack
Spooky Ribbon Bundle

When you go to the Spooky Project Pantry in the store you will see the optional items linked under the Basic Recipe kit, so you can pick and choose what you'd like to add to your cart.  We know you'll have fun customizing your kit!

First stamped and colored the Apothecary Shelf with Copics. On top of the shelf I stamped two of the bottle in the stamp set and the pumpkin and colored them. I used the Large Scallop Die for my top border, used distress ink on the edges of my stamped image, and added some stitiching.

To create the spider web scarf for the top of my shelf, I stamped the scarf in black ink, colored with Copics, and added Orange Rhinestones.

For my treat box I started with a die cut treat box from the Taylored Expressions Store. The little box is cut and scored for you and goes together so quick!! Gift giving made easy!

I used the Spook Impression Plate on orange cardstock from the Spooky Project Pantry Kit. I used my Cuttlebug and Taylor's Embossing Pad Kit. I cut the embossed cardstock to fit my block and added a scalloped with to coordinate with my card. Then I just made a little tag and attached it with ribbon from the kit.

I will be back tomorrow with another project! Be sure to stop all the designers today for more "Spooky" Projects:

My first project today uses Build A Treat and Build a Treat Borders. These dies and stamps are just adorable and concepted by Sankari Wegman. These sets will provide endless opportunities for building your own treats and borders. The sets are part of the Whimsical Wishes Collection and illustrated by Nancy McKinney.

Both Build A Treat and Build a Treat Borders have coordinating dies for even more creative fun! Build a Treat includes 30 images and sentiments to build the treats of your dreams.  Build a Treat Borders includes 5 borders - each approximately 6" long with options for both coloring and solid stamping.

My first card is all about the ice cream cones!! My papers are Authentique - Splendid 6x6 BundleI also used the Medium Scallop Border Die, ribbon, twine, and my sewing machine.

I stamped the sentiment in Memento Ink in Rich Cocoa. I stamped one of the ice cream cones from Build a Treat, and used the die set to cut out my cone and two scoops of ice cream. My background is cut with the Take Note Die 2.

My border is made with the Build a Treat Border. First I stamped the cones in Memento Ink in Rich Cocoa.  Then I stamped the ice cream scoops and colored them with Copics. Then I cut the cones and ice cream scoops out with their coordinating dies. Just so cute!! I love this idea.

Next up I used the new stamp set Sweet Party and Build a Border Die again. Sweet Party is a cute petite party set that pays homage to our very first stamp set - Sweet Celebration and was designed to help celebrate TE's 3rd birthday. The stamp set is illustrated by Jessie Oleson.  You get the party scene image plus 3 cute sentiments. Purchase this Petite stamp set  for $7.95 or get it for FREE with a purchase of $100.

I stamped the image in brown ink and colored with Copics. The cupcake paper is paper pieced. The papers are My Mind's Eye 6x6 Pad - Everyday FlairI added twine and stitching and the Large Scallop Border die.

I used Liquid Pearls to added frosting to my cake and cookie, and whipped cream on my pie. I sprinkled a little glitter on the Perfect Pearls while they were still wet. I used the Build A Treat Border to stamp my cupcakes. This time I used the solid cupcake image and stamped in VersaMagic Pink Petunia. I added rhinestones to my cherries!

Be sure to stop by all the designer's blogs today for great sneaks and inspiration!!

A Scrap Page

Happy Sunday! Hope you are enjoying these last weekends of summer. I have a scrapbook page to share with you today. The picture is of my daughter Lisa last college dance show.

I made all my embellishments on my page with dies and stamps. I love that! Don't have to buy anything!

I stamped my dancer using Memento Ink in Rich Cocoa and Jolinne - Sweet Spring.

I stamped a sentiment from the Jolinne stamp set and used the Pretty Posies Die-namic to make my flowers. The paper are from Pink Pasilee and I used circled punches for the smaller circles.

I used the High Tea Doily Die-namic for my bottom circle.

Thanks for stopping by. I have been busy working on projects for a couple of new releases. I will have new projects to share all week starting tomorrow!

Kick Up Your Heels!

Hi Everyone! And happy Friday! I am looking forward to the weekend. I love it when I don't have a lot planned!

Taylor has a new sketch challenge up at the Taylor Expression Forum at Splitcoaststampers. I love starting my card with a sketch and I have been wanting to color my new stamp Moka Jane! She is just so cute!

She is colored with Copics. My papers are from My Mind's Eye, A Happy Heart. I just added stitching, ribbon, and lace.

I added some shading with a Copic Markers, Y000 and Y000, and my grass is done with Prism Colored Pencil.

I used a sentiment from the Moka Jane stamp set and tied in on my ribbon with twine.

I also wanted to tell you about a special Taylor has running in the TE store right now. We are offering several of our popular TE Giving Tree stamp sets at 25% off! The TE Giving Tree is a program designed to raise funds for charities through the sale of stamp sets. Each stamp set in the program supports a designated charity with the donation of partial proceeds for the first three months after it is released. To date there have been 12 stamp sets in the TE Giving Tree Program!

In the past, our Giving Tree sets have been sold un-trimmed as a solid sheet or rubber on EZ Mount cling cushion, which was done to save on manufacturing costs thus allowing us to donate more to charity. However, we've decided to make the switch so that even the rubber for our Giving Tree stamps will be trimmed like all other TE sets. So here's where the sale comes in! We have limited quantities remaining of the following un-trimmed Giving Tree sets available at 25% off while supplies last. When the last of the un-trimmed sets are sold, they will be re-stocked with pre-trimmed rubber and the sale price will disappear.

Here a card I made using on the the TE Giving Tree stamp set, Cozy Cottages:

Stop by Taylor's Blog for all the info!!
