Taylored Expressions Blast from the Past Blog Hop

Welcome to Taylored Expressions Blast from the Past Blog Hop! This month's theme is Autumn/Thankful. I have a number of close friends that I am so thankful to have in my life! My card today is for one of those friends.

I am using the TE stamp sets Branching Out and Branching Out Coordinates and papers from November's Key Ingredients.

I used the sketch for today's hop as my inspiration. The background is sponged and I added rhinestones from my stash to the flowers and hung the birdhouse with twine from the Baker's Twine Sampler. All the papers are from the just released November Key Ingredients, except for the brown cardstock I added from my stash.

I added a sentiment from the set and tied on a little more twine.

On the inside I stamped a sentiment and flower from Branching Out.

Thanks so much for stopping by the Blast from the Past Blog Hop! Here is the list of the all the hoppers joining the hop today. I can't wait to see what they have created!

Taylored Expressions November Key Ingredients

It is the 15th of the month and the November Taylored Expression Key Ingredients Kit is now available!! I am very excited about this month's kit!! The papers this month are from October Afternoon Modern Homemaker collection and they are the cutest! You can find all the information about the Key Ingredient Kit Subscription right HERE!

There is a modern homemaker in all of us, right? This month Taylor challenged us to create something to spice up our kitchens, or anything featuring kitchen icons or food, food stamps or real food!

For my project I made a grocery list book and matching pen and pencil holder to sit by the phone in my kitchen. I have a busy house, which is about to get busier, as one of daughter's moves home from college to start her job hunt. I like having one place where everyone know to write down what they need or we have run out of.

I used the paper with the kitchen icons as my starting point. I just LOVE this paper!

I covered two pieces of 8" x 4" chipboard with papers from the kit. I added some pretty aqua twill from the kit where the two papers come together. For my place setting I stamped an image for the new Enjoy! stamp set and colored with Copics. Then I used Taylor's Take Note Frame 2 die to cut the image out.

I spelled out Grocery List with the sticker letters included in the kit on red cardstock for the kit. I see the cute oven mitt? This is just one of the chipboard kitchen images included in the kit, that I covered with the red polka paper. I punched a hole in the oven mitt and tied on baker twine from the Baker's Twine Sampler.

I added tabs to book using the Keeping Tabs die and the Keeping Tabs stamp set. There are certain items we always purchase at Costco so I wanted a different section for those items.

The last step is bind the book. The used my new Cinch, so easy!

Then I painted this wooden box I had purchased at Michaels and covered it to match my Grocery List. I used the aqua twill again and tied on a couple more pieces of the chipboard.

Stop by the Key Ingredients Blog for all the details!

Thanks for stopping by! I really think you will love this month's kits. Be sure to stop by the other designers blogs to see what they have come up with:

Thanks!!

Sending A Little Christmas

I have a couple of projects to share with you today. First up, I have a Christmas card made with the cute little PI, Sending You A Little Christmas. I used Mercy's sketch from this week for my inspiration.

She is stamped on a Cream Perfect Paper Panel and colored with Copics. Her scarf and hat are paper pieced. I added stitching, ribbon, and a sentiment from the set. The border is made with the Die-namic Faux Crochet Die. Love this die! The DP is Basic Grey, Jovial.

Sometimes it is the little things that make a card. I added Glitter for snow, stickles to the ornaments on the tree, Fun Flock to her boots and hat, and a little glitter pen to the star.

On the inside is stamped a sentiment from the Merry and Bright stamp set and used the Faux Crochet Die again.

Next up is a scrap page. I have a stack of photos I am slowly getting into scrapbooks. This is a picture from a dance recital of my daughter Lisa. She has kinda a resigned look on her! But I still wanted to get it in her scrapbook.

I used the Jumbo Scallop die for my border and added pearls and some tulle.

I used Jolinne - Sweet Spring and colored her with Copics.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful weekend.
