Window Challenge

Happy Monday! I finally got a chance to post the card I made for the Caardvark challenge. The challenge this time is to make a window card.challenging you to create a window card

I used the Hot Stuff stamp set for My Favorite Things. To make the window I covered a chipboard frame with brown card stock I had run through the Cuttlebug. The edges are sponged with distressing ink. The image is colored with Copics and  the dress is paper pieced.  All the edges of the paper are sponged with Tim Holtz distressing ink in Vintage Photo. The border punch is Martha Stewart. I added lace and ribbon and brads for a vintage touch.

Lizzie Anne

Well, it is late Sunday night and I hope everyone had a good weekend. I got in some stamping time, along with celebrating Father's Day and having a family barbeque. The weekends just go too fast! This is my first project if worked on for my new neighbor.

I used the Lizzie Anne Sketch Challenge for this week. The stamp is Lizzie Anne "Welcome Home". I colored the little scene with my copics. The DP is my new Cosmo Crickett. I added stitching around the edges, polka dot ribbon and a key charm.

I will have a few more projects to share in the next couple days.

MFT Birthday Card and Gift Card Holder

This week in the MFT My Favorite Challenge Forum we were challenged to make a gift card holder. I had done my card for the sketch challenge, so I decided to make my gift card holder match my card. It will make a nice birthday gift when I need it! I got out my new paper from Yellow Bicycle. Love it! Such fun papers.

Here's my card for this weeks MFT sketch challenge. I used Digital Girl and the "Subject:" sentiment. The Happy Birthday is from Take the Cake. I sewed around the edges. Added rhinestones, and some flower trim from my stash. The floor is drawn in. The dress is pieced.

I love this gift card style and will definitely make it again. The cupcakes is pieced, cut out and popped up. I used my sewing machine to add the edging around the card. The ribbon ties around the card to hold it shut.

Here is the inside of the gift card with a card in the middle and some room to write a note.

Sweet Baby Boy

This the second new baby card I had needed in the last couple of weeks! This card will go to a friend who just had a little boy!

I made a gate fold card for the MFT My Favorite Challenge in the MFT Forum at Splitcoaststampers. The stamp is MFT Snuggle Bunnies. I cut out the moon, ran it through my Cuttlebug and added a little glitter. The star border punch is Martha Stewart. I colored with my Copics, paper pieced the moon, and added some stars and rhinestones in the corner. The cute checked ribbon is also from MFT. The DP is from Memory Box. I applied Ivory Flower Soft to the tails.

I used this weeks MFT sketch challenge. The stamps are my from My Favorite Things, Going Places and the hat is from Congrat All Around. I love the sentiment "Celebrate the Journey"! It seems just right for a women moving on to the next part of her life.

The DP is from Bo Bunny. There is brown glitter on the hat and I added some rhinestones for a little bling! The sentiment and the hat are popped up

Mommy's Little Angel

A friend of mine just had a baby girl. This is the card that will go in the mail today. I wanted something pink and girly! I used the MFT sketch challenge at Splitcoast and the the MFT stamp Snuggle Bunnies.

I have been hoarding this piece of lace but decided it was just the right touch for this card. The image is colored with my Copics. I added glitter with a glue pen around the edge of the moon and the star. The tails are done with flower soft in Ivory. The pink and white checked ribbon is new from MFT and really ties nicely. The senitment is from the MFT set Paper Doll Sayings. I attached the lace with small glue dots and then added some pink rhinestones to finish it off. I also did a little distressing with Tim Holtz Distressing Ink in Tea Dye.

Let's Picnic

This is a sneak peek at the new MFT set, Let's Picnic, that will be released tonight. Join us from 8-10 pm EST for the New Release Cocktail party, in the Splitcoast Forum. This set is so cute and comes with lots of images to add to your picnic!

Here is my take on the MFT weekly sketch challenge using the new set. The blanket is pieced. I masked off the background and drew in the grass. The sky is done with copics and the colorless blender. I cut out to the additional picnic item and placed them on the black. The yummy checked ribbon is new from MFT. I added a butterfly charm and a little glitter pen to the knife and wine bottle.

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Melody
