Taylored Expressions June Peeks Day 2!




June Release At a Glance

Today the Design Team is sharing projects made with the new stamp set, Bikes & Trikes. This is a full size set of 20 images/sentiments designed by Emily Burger and the concept of Jami Sibley.   I'm sure you'll find a ton of reasons and occasions to use this cute set!  

For inspiration I started with Jen Shults' Deconstructed Sketch.  My bike is colored with Copics and I used Tim Holtz Distressing in Distress Linen around the edges. I added grass with Grass Border Die and clouds with the Cloud Duo Die.


My papers are from Simple Stories Summer Fresh. I added machine stitching in a heavy weight tan thread and twine.


On the inside I added sentiments from the set, stamping one of them on a cloud and added flowers with a stamp included in the set.

MFT's June New Product Tour

I had a great time playing with the new Hexagon Die-namics! I cut out hexagons in five different paper patterns and then just adhered them to black cardstock in a random pattern! I love the effect! My papers are from Echo Park Sweet Day.


I stamped a sentiment from the new Complimentary Greetings and cut it out with one the dies in Fishtail Flags STAX Die-namics. Then I just added a flower with the Botanical Beauty Die-namics.


On the inside I added another sentiment from Complimentary Greetings and a hexagon border.

I have a couple of projects to share with you today using the 4th of July Project Pantry Kit. The Fourth of July is always celebrated at my house. You can sit at the end of my driveway and watch the fireworks from the near by park and not fight the crowds! I love to decorate for the day and this is my new project to add to this year's decorate. 

I used the new Yankee Doodle Homestead Stamp Set to create my scene. This is Doug's Applegates' sixth adorable abode, and idea that was concepted by Jami Sibley. I started with a frame from my stash and distressed the wood with a little sanding and Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Vintage Photo.


I colored the house with Copics and cut it out. I stamped the fireworks in white ink and added glitter pen and rhinestones. My papers including the title at the top are from the 4th of July Project Pantry. I added a fence with the Picket Fence Die and a star border with the Reach for the Stars border.


My second project is a scrapbook page from Fourth of July last year. I used four squares of paper from  the July 4th Project Pantry and stitched around the edges.


I stamped the God Bless America stamp on kraft paper from the kit and added rhinestones.


I am excited about the new Tall and Skinny Alpha Dies coming out this month, perfect for card making and scrapping! I add the word July and a chipboard number.

MFT June Teaser Day 6

It is Day 6 of MFT's June Teasers and today is all the new Pure Innocence stamps, Soldier Boy, Soldier Girl, Lady Liberty,  Hula Girl, Sprinkler Girl and MITH Blessed Mouse.

I used Hula Girl as inspiration for a scrapbook page. The photo is from a Hawaiian family vacation taken about 7 years ago. The picture is of two of my girls and their cousins.

At the top of the page I added a sun with the Sunshine Die-namics and added a sentiment from the stamp set.


For my embellishment I cut out flowers and leaves with the new Hibiscus Die-namics and used Banana Split Felt for the center of flowers along with a rhinestone. I also glued on a few small shells.


I colored my PI image with Copics and cut her out, adding a rhinestone to the center of the flower in her hair. "Aloha" is cut out with the By the Number Uppercase and Lowercase Die-namics.

MFT June Teaser Day 5

Thanks for stopping by today! It is Day 5 of MFT'S June Teaser. We have two new à la modes to share today, Firecracker and Go for Gold.

I used Firecracker for my card and this weeks Wednesday Stamp Club Challenge Sketch for inspiration. You can find all the details on the challenge here. 

I used the Rectangle STAX Die-namics to cut out my image. Behind the image I added a doily cut out with the Dainty Doily Die-namics. 


She is colored with Copics and I added gold glitter pen to the firecracker fuse. Her dress and the the center of the firecracker are paper pieced. The border is cut with the new Notched Border Die-namics.

I add a ribbon and tied on a tag cut out with the new Traditional Tag STAX Die-namics. My paper are from Authentique Glory.



On the inside I stamped another sentiment from the set and added another star.

MFT's June Teasers Day 4

Thanks for stopping by today! It is day 4 of MFT'S June Teaser. We have two new Stamp and Die-namics Sets to share today, Masculine Graphic Tee and Vanity License Plate.

I can always use new masculine stamp sets and the new Masculine Graphic Tee is perfect for many occasions. My husband is a musician and plays in a Classic Rock Band, so this sentiment was perfect for him!

I die cut the T-shirt and stamped the sentiment. I layered it on a tag cut out with the new Traditional Tags Die-namics. Then I added a star with the Star STAX Die-namics. My border is cut with the new Notched Border Die-namics.


My embellishments include twine, a small binder clip and a Tim Holtz charm. My paper are Echo Park This n' That Charming.


On the inside I stamped the lighting bolt and sentiment from the stamp set and added another star.
