Just popping in to share my version of Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2015 for March. You can find the techniques and tutorial I used for the tag here. This is a challenge I love to participate in because I alway learn something new!!
First I laid down the strips of Tissue Tape. Since I did not have a combination of colors of Distress Paints that I liked, I created my background with a combination of Distress Inks and Distress Stains in Tumbled Glass, Salty Sea, Wild Honey, and Peeled Paint.
Then I added the gold highlights with embossing paste, gold embossing powder, and the Speckles Stencil.
Since I didn't have the beautiful butterfly stamp I added a metal embellishment. I used a piece of sticky back cork to cut the circle and then brushed on a light coat Tumbled Glass Stain to just blend the cork with the background.
I used the Tim Holtz Sizzix SHAPE STRIPS Thinlits Die
This is stunning Melody!

ReplyDeleteVery nice Melody! I just picked up the bead landing package of 90 gears from Michael's yesterday -- I've resisted so far -- I didn't want to turn into a gear head -- but I do have a son and making things for him is my excuse! :) Haven't done my March tag yet -- oh so late, but I'll do March and April together.
ReplyDeleteOh my word! This is amazing! I love this!
