MFT's November Creative Challenge

Thanks for stopping by for MFT's  November Creative Challenge. We’re quickly approaching a season that is chock-full of opportunities for creating cards, tags, treat boxes, and home decor. With such an amazing array of crafting possibilities, we thought it only right to open things up and encourage our team to go wild exploring all of the holiday crafting their imaginations can travel.

Be sure to stop by the MFT Blog for the list of designers sharing projects.

My first project is home decor using the Peace, Love, & Joy Die-namics for inspiration. I cut three 5 x 5 panel of chipboard for the base of my project.

I used a gold glittered card stock for the sentiments cut with the Peace, Love, & Joy Die-namics and the poinsettias and leaves are cut with the Poinsettia Die-namics from Wild Cherry Card Stock. I added a little glitter to each of the flowers. I also add some berries I picked up at my local crafts store.

The background is stamped with the Snowfall Background Stamp and Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink and embossed with white embossing powder. The snow is cut with the Stitched Snow Drifts Die-namics, the trees with the Tree Lines Die-namics and the snowflakes with the Let It Snowflake Die-namics.

The background on the love panel is created with the Quilt Square Cover-Up Die-namics. I added pattern with the Sweater Stitch Background Stamp and the Linen Background stamp. The rose is created with the Royal Rose Die-namics with Smooth White Card Stock and Wild Cherry Premium Dye Ink.

The background on the last panel is stamped with the Sheet Music Background Stamp. I used MFT Wild Cherry Ribbon to hang my project.

Once my home decor project was done I have a few extra embellishment left over and thought I should just use them up! I made this little treat bag with the Paper Bag Treat Box Die-namics. Again the background is stamped with the Snowfall Background Stamp and Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink and embossed with white embossing powder.I cut the pretty snowflake with the Pierced Snowflakes Die-namics and added a rhinestone to the center.

For my last project I used a small wooden embroidery hoop to create an embellishment for a package or an ornament for a tree.  I had one more poinsettia and a few leaves and snowflakes left. I used burlap for the background and a glue gun to attached the embellishments.

Here the products I used to create my projects:
