Thanks for stopping by for MFT's June Rewind! We are using newly released products that are available NOW. You can stop by the MFT Blog for the list of all the designers sharing projects today.
My first project is a scrapbook page with some mixed media elements. I am still in the learning and experiment stage, but I am enjoying learning and experimenting with some new techniques I can share with you.
I started with a piece of scrapbook paper with a text background. I wanted to mute the text a little so I painted on a light coat of Antique Linen Paint, and the stitched the page to a piece of black card stock.
In each corner I used the new MPD Stone Wall Stencil and a light molding paste. After the molding paste was completely dry I used a variety of grey inks to added color to the stone. Then I sprayed the stones with the new MIX-ables Steel Shimmer Mist.
I a little more pattern here and there on the page using the MPD Distressed Background Blocks.
In the bottom left corner I added the sentiment with the Die-namics LLD Accent It - Story Titles and washi tape with the Washi Patterns Stamp Set and the Die-namics Washi Tape.
Here I added beautiful roses with the MPD Blooming Roses Set and the coordinating Die-namics MPD Rose Bouquet. The roses are stamped with Pink Lemonade and Bubblegum Ink and the leaves in Gumdrop Green.
I added the sweet ticket with the DC Just the Ticket Stamp Set and the Die-namics Just the Ticket.
I also created this card using the MPD Blooming Roses Set and the coordinating Die-namics MPD Rose Bouquet. The layout out is based on this week's MFT Sketch Challenge.
I used the Mini Chicken Wire Stencil to added some texture to the Wild Cherry Card Stock using Wild Cherry Ink.
I used the Die-namics Fluttering Hearts to create the heart background and finished off the card with lace MFT Ribbon in Black Licorice. The sentiment is from LJD Pretty Poppies Stamp Set.
