MFTSCRAP1 Sketch Challenge

Welcome to our first MFT Scrap Sketch! We are so excited about this new monthly challenge! Whether
you are a bit intimidated by scrapbooking or you are a seasoned scrapbooker, this is the challenge for you.

Each month we will provide two sketches, our main sketch and a Project Life version for those of you following Project Life. Simply follow the sketch and upload your creation to SCS using the proper keyword.

There will be a random draw each month from all the participants who have uploaded their Scrap Samples to SCS using the proper keyword. Two winners will be chosen each month and the winners will receive a $15 gift voucher. If the winner used MFT stamps, they will receive $ 5 in bonus bucks, for a total of $20.

Check out the FAQ - MFT Scrapbooking Challenge thread if you need any further info on this challenge or help on how to upload your sample to the gallery.

To play along this month, simply upload your creation to SCS using the keyword MFTSCRAP1 or
MFTPL1 for a chance to win one of the two monthly prizes (see above). You have until noon Monday, November 19 to play along .

I started out as a scrapbooker, before I got hooked on making cards! I have to say, I am very happy to be scrapping again. I plan to do some 12 x 12 pages and some Project Life type pages. With all the wonderful Die-namics that are available, I won't have any trouble coming up with my own embellishments!

I used three different embellishments to come up with my corner accent. The sentiment is from the LLD Journal It - Top Ten Stamp Set and cut out with a die from the Accent It - Flags and Tags Die-namics. I layered the sentiment on a sunflower that was created with the Sunflower Die-namics. The I used the Fall Leaves Die-namics to cut the leaves from patterned paper. The veins on the leaves are stamped in brown ink with stamps from the Thankful Leaves Stamp Set.

Here the sentiments are from the LLD Document It - December Stamp Set and cut out with dies from the Accent It - Flags and Tags Die-namics.

I created my journaling card with the Die-namics LLD Insert It - 3x4 Insert. My scrapbook book papers are from Simple Stories Harvest.

Thanks for stopping by! You can stop by the MFT blog for the list of all the designers that are sharing scrapbook pages today.

  6. Oh Melody, you make me want to start cutting out page embellishments NOW! You did scare the .... um, you scared me when I saw that little "mini set" of words - I thought I'd missed an essential set, but then I realized they were all in Document December -- which sounds like the beginning of a new series stamps for scrapbookers! Whoo Hoo!
